I do not believe that cho was crazy, sick, insane or whatever... I do think that labeling him as such makes it easier for mainstram america to accept.

Some would say that a person willing to kill themselves is crazy, however in my home state DR. assisted suicide is now a practice/profession and a decision. I belive that he made his calculated decisions while completely sane.

Plotting for months, buying weapons, assembling his "manifesto" are not the actions of a crazy man. The media is challenging themselves tonight with whether or not the videos should have been released. As a journalism grad of a fairly prominent university I can only offer my opinion...

Ratings, yes that was important, NBC had a Godsend dropped in their lap, from their point of view. They got to be the first to run it, and even now, their logo is tagged on videos I watched on FOX tonight.

But honestly, the(available) news about Virginia Tech has been over for some time now, aren't we tired of listening to the same stories, the same students, etc...

bottom line, Big stories make journalism easier. Imagine if your job was to produce 3000 good words a day, and suddenly, the cops were tight lipped and you were only expected to produce 500. Well, they milk it for all it is worth. And they run it again, and agian and again. This is even more prominent in TV news.

Ironic as it is, Catastrophe is a good thing at times for the media.
