Jen and I have been lately discussing domain name speculation and how to determine what will be hot coming down the road in terms of domain names, se terms, etc. Last night, just as I was drifting off to sleep I came up wth a concept. This morning, manually, I worked through a proof of concept. If it pans out I plan to automate the process and provide it to folks at, of course, a nominal fee :yowsa:

Anyway, upshot is that this morning I registered 45 domains that I think will pan out and I have a list of additional domain possibillities that I am going to pass out here to anyone that wants them. Some will appear somehat screwy for sure. Of the 45 I registered, 13 are not really a result of the process ut are instead the result of me getting sidetracked....lol... Those ones are all porn related ones.

I usually do not post what I register because of the ever prevalent paranoia of concepts getting stolen. I am making an exception this time.

Everything in the following lists are .coms.

The domains that I registered that I came up with for adult (like I said, I got sidetracked) are:

titsology
titsography
pussyography
pussography
pussometry
pussyometry
titsometry
assography
assometry
milfography
milfometry
gayometry
teenometry
ipornpod

I then went and secured a domain to use for my system if I go forward with it. It is comingdomains.com, because the methodology I used is pretty muched based on emerging technologies that may or may not catch on.

The ones I registered from this process are: (again, all dot coms)

mediabrowsing - media browsing
scalablevideo - scalable video
peertopeersearch - peer to peer search
databeads - data beads
dynamicdatabeads - dynamic data beads

The ones that I did not register and am going to pass for anyone to grab if they want are:

informationnervoussystem - Information nervous system

cheeseology - cheeseology (I absolutely love that one as an idea for a cheesey little site...lol)
bootlessactivation - bootless activation

filteringengines - filtering engines
heterogeneousschemas - heterogeneous schemas

networkedtimekeepingsystems - networked time keeping systems
motionactivatedsoapdispenser - motion activated soap dispenser
universalwirefeeder - universal wire feeder
hydrodynamicretarder - hydrodynamic retarder

Most of these are up and coming computer technology keyword related because that is what I was using for my "seed". And like I said some may seem pretty funky. Some of them I checked through google to see what the current placement for the terms are and I was quite surprised at the results. For example thermoplastic vulcanizates returns over 50,000 results when not inside quotes, for exact match (inside quotes) it returns about 31,100 results.
However, sinc they are based on emrging technologies, most of them ill not appear much in google now. If the technology associated with it takes off, they may be worth something don the road.

I am only posting this here for now. I might post it later today at Dravyk's mainstreamwebmasters.com for the crew over there.

Like I say, feel free to grab them, I am not going to at this point and if it all pans out I will be able to generate thousands of these each day once I automate it all.

Let me know what you think of the domain names and the idea please.

Thanx in advance

Interesting plan.
The domain speculation was big in Vegas. I wish you luck with it.

What was the speculation?

Its the term used for buying domains on speculation that they value will increase.

Like writing an article on spec... specualtion that you can sell it and get paid.

Oh I know that. I thought maybe they were speculating a new trend with domains.

lololol. I do not have enough cash to do heavy speculation. But I can write scripts to assist others in their speculation :okthumb: (for a nominal fee of course :yowsa: )

Actually not a bad plan at all. Only costs $80 or so a piece to hold each for a decade and one hit would pay for the lot.

Yep, one of them would do it. Problem is, just like buying penny stocks, which one ?

Probably nothing at all to do with porn. Is that all the adult biz is composed of?

The adult biz spans many different things including domain speculation as evidenced by this past weeks auction at internext. The key to successful speculation is to identify the next up and coming trend.

In this case, the databases I targeted were tech databases, looking for up and coming technologies and keywords. That was my proof of concept.

If I did the same thing with various "adult" related databases, I would come up with adult related terms.

But anyway, if you consider the adult industry to only be porn, then you are destined to remain locked into the box.

The adult industry and the business of porn goes way beyod what you would traditionally call porn.

If you limit yourself to just "porn" or if the board limits itself to just the business of porn in the traditional sense then this will be an extremely boring boring boring place because the traditional view of the porn biz is a very narrow slot in what actually makes up the business of porn.
