We have a difficult time financially during the holiday season because my husband's work shuts down and he is left without any work or pay during this time. So we have to scrounge a way to just come up with our regular household income, let alone have any extra cash for gifts and such.

I choose to celebrate the season by spending time with my friends and enjoying good food. We decorate the house and our tree, but we just don't put any gifts under the tree.

Make the holiday work for you on your terms and don't be pressured to celebrate in any one else's way.

It doesn’t affect me either way. I don’t really celebrate it but I’m also not entirely against it. It’s the end of the year and business slows down quite a bit. I enjoy spending time with family and friends.

If anything it can be a pain because no one wants to start new projects and everyone has excuses why they didn’t get their shit done. No one returns calls, emails, etc. Rather then let it bother me I take the last two weeks and kick back a bit.

Christmas is for children.

Not adults behaving as such.

I love Christmas and New Years. Being Scottish, however, New Years Eve is the biggie.

I love the holidays. I enjoy giving people gifts, celebrating the end of a year....whether it be because it was a great year like this one or just being the end of a shitty year and starting a new one with a clean slate.

Heck, even the commercialism doesn't bother me that much. It's fun to people watch if nothing else. Several of us often go out on Christmas Eve even though our shopping is done just to watch the people.

Though as we get older, the holidays do seem to fly by, seems like Thanksgiving was just last week.

As a kid, Christmas seemed to take forever to get there.

I've always enjoyed the holiday season, even before I had kids, but it's even better when you have kids.

Business always picks up for me at this time of year too. Companies are looking to spend the last of their budgets before the end of the year and then have brand new budgets after the 1st.
