normally during this time of year i do my grocery shopping elsewhere but after seeing several cnbc analysts poo pooing walmart i decided to keep shopping there just to see what the traffic was like, plus i needed some nonfood items so i probably would have gone anyone at least once... anyway ive been there maybe 6 times since black friday and the store has been less crowded than it was outside the holiday season... this really should not be the case since they closed a store that was only about a mile away a few months ago (it was old and did not have groceries)... if anything i thought this factor alone would pack this store but that hasnt been the case (both stores were really busy last season)... i guess the analysts are right

I'd love to see some real stats after this holiday season to show what online is doing to brick and mortar sales. More and more people I know barely go out to do traditional christmas shopping.

I haven't hit wal-mart, but I've been to Super Target a couple of times and I would say it was about the same as it would've been in the middle of summer. Same for Best Buy.

I love my Amazon Prime.

im not sure what it is but its been less crowded than normal off season... pretty shocking to say the least, but im glad since thats where i prefer to go since they carry a few specialty items other grocers dont and they always have an ample supply of cashiers... i didnt even have to wait today and i was not on the express lane... people werent at church and there was no cowboys game on... the stock has gone down a little lately but this is definately not priced in... i think they are going to take a nice hit
