We recently received a letter from Toyota concerning our lexusxxx.com domain. They felt that our girl, Lexus was similarly confusing to the consumer to their line of vehicles. Yeah, Lexus is her real name, check out the tattoo in the pic below!

While we know that it would be pretty hard to confuse a girl with a car, we didn’t want to waist the time trying to fight them, plus we would probably lose, so we have moved Lexus from lexusxxx.com over to 4realteen.com.
Since all affiliates are linking through our affiliate software at 4realcash.com you will not have to make any changes at all. All your traffic that was going to her site is still going to her site, now just at a new URL.
Oh yeah, Happy Holidays!!

Damn lawyers.
But you're right, you have to pick your battles. In most cases, it's not worth fighting. We had a girl whose real and stage name was "Barbie". Mattel sent us a C&D.

Yeah, I remember Mattel went after all the Barbies, it was like they thought it would dammage their dolls reputation...lol

Hey Bruce. Sorry for the hassles you are having with the company. Sent ya an e-mail a short while back and have tried to get approval from ya on ICQ so we can talk about advertising.

On a seperate not I would actually think it would be highly likely that in both the cases Bruce and Hellpuppy mentioned that you would win. Not allowing someone to use their real first name really infringes on their right to do business. That said, I can see not wanting to pay lawyers oney to fight it. Annoys the shit out of me to see companies throw their weight around like that though.

For hardtop verts, I really like the SC430 even though it's getting a bit long in the tooth.
From their new stuff, if you dont want a boat like the LS, the GS is a very fast sedan. If you want something a bit more sporty, I was suitably impressed with the IS350. Major major upgrade over the previous version.
I'd take it over a BMW 3 series (except for an M) no contest.

I was able to get a little racy in one. Small car, 300+ HP, big brakes, good balance....lots of fun to throw it around.
hehe that's kinda cute.. but what a hassle. Surely Toyota can't enforce that, since it *is* her name.

Probably not, but in the grand scheme of things is it worth the lawyer bill to fight it?
