CHATSWORTH, Calif. - Internext and domain registrar Moniker have announced a partnership to host the first-ever, live adult domain auction at Internext Las Vegas. The event is scheduled for 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the last day of the three-day show on Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007.

The event will also feature a silent domain auction hosted online, along with the live auction at the show conducted by Monte Cahn, CEO of Moniker.com (http://www.moniker.com/), and a professional auctioneer. Interested attendees are encouraged to register with Internext Expo early to get access to domain names available for purchase.

“Moniker is pleased to bring our live and silent domain auctions to domain professionals and Web savvy investors at Internext Las Vegas and to build upon the success of our past auctions,” said Cahn. “Bringing buyers and sellers together in one place is the perfect way to establish true valuations of domains. We have now transacted close to $9 million in domain sales in our last three auctions. Many of those buyers have been adult industry professionals looking to diversify their future investments.”

The deadline to submit domain names to Moniker for consideration in both the live and silent online auction is Monday, Dec. 18. Domains of both an adult and mainstream nature will be considered. If you’re interested in selling your domains, contact Moniker at sales@moniker.com.

Internext attendees will be able to bid on more than 250 domains in the live auction. They will also be given the opportunity to watch history unfold, as prices on some of the highest profile domains in the industry go up for auction.

In addition, the conference registration entitles attendees to access the online silent auction at www.moniker.com/liveauction (http://www.moniker.com/liveauction), where several thousand other domains will be up for bid. The live auction interface is a specially designed section of Moniker’s new Marketplace system, a supercharged negotiation platform that brings domain buyers and sellers together.

“We are extremely excited to bring this exclusive new feature to our bi-annual Internext shows premiering at the January show. I’ve personally participated in previous Moniker auctions and the vibe is amazing,” said Farley Cahen, publisher of AVN Online magazine.

“The domain marketplace is really heating up again and adult specific domains are among the most highly valued. By adding the live and silent auctions to world’s largest adult B2B webmaster shows, we will be offering an innovative and valuable feature to our attendees and exhibitors. Everyone from site owners, domain investors, and speculators will enjoy this unique opportunity to acquire top-tier domains. Look for domains to sell between a few hundred to possibly a few million dollars."

The conference includes a keynote presentation by Joe Lakey, executive vice president at Playboy Entertainment, Inc., on the first day, Jan. 15 and a closing session with Marty Klein, author of "America’s War on Sex: The Attack on Law, Lust and Liberty" on the last day, Jan. 17. Also as part of the show, there is a comprehensive three-day educational program Business Building Blocks, which includes seminars, intensive workshops and classroom sessions.
At the show, attendees can participate in the Porn Poker Tour sponsored by Eroticy, Sammysmack, CamZ, Netbilling, MPA3, Capitalbucks, and Dating Gold.
Registration for the all-access pass is $250 per person before Nov. 30, 2007, and $300 thereafter and comes complete with a daily complimentary brunch and special happy hours. Register at Internext-Expo.com (http://www.internext-expo.com/) and reserve your room at Mandalay Bay with Rose Travel & Tours at (888) 491-7673 or (215) 533-5700.

Hi,

Sorry that my first post is a request. I've been scouring the net for info on this auction.

Anyone here know what domains they are auctioning off? You have to have a the password to view the list, and I haven't decided if I'm going yet.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Dave

I think if you wanna know you have to go!

that seems kind of wierd, why not advertise the list so they draw more people?

I would imagine if someone knew that porn.com was going to be auctioned off, they might fly across country JUST for that....but if they don't release the list, then they lose out on people coming specifically for domains they wanted or hoped for

hmph

To see the list of domains eligible for the Live Auction, please enter the Live Auction Password provided by the Internext Las Vegas Conference.

You can apply for an invitation to the conference at their website.

you can see the domains, you just have to get a password from the internext people

thanks, yes but you have to purchase a $300 attendance pass to get the password.
And I agree with you, it would be much better if they publicized the names to draw more attendees.

Best Regards,
Dave

if you are all are going to have the big domains names that you say you all are, then why keep it private and only accesible to internext attendees?

I am pretty positive that if you release at least a partial list of the good names, you would have lots more people registering for internext, just for the domain auction alone
