I was asked to start this thread because many people don't know the benefits of ABC linking.....some don't know what ABC linking is for that matter

so, lets gets started...:)

In my opinion, ABC linking is the possibly best form of linking (link trading) you can do for a blog. It is the process of taking 2 of your sites and 1 of someone elses and linking them all in a row

so, if you have SITEA.com and SITEB.com and someone else has WEBSITE.com, you would link to WEBSITE.com from SITEA.com and WEBSITE.com would link to SITEB.com

so, it goes SITEA.com > WEBSITE.com > SITEB.com

the benefit of this is that if you do this enough and this is all you do, you will end up with tons of inbound links to your site, and the outbound links that you do end up with will be classified as "relevant" in the SE eyes.

When googlebot comes to your site and see that you don't have any reciprocal linking going on, it LOVES that.....the more incoming links (without reciprocated links) you have coming to your site, the better.

The only downside to this is that it requires precise organization...I actually have a white board in my office with all my sites listed on it and lines drawn between each one so I can keep track....and trust me, even with that it gets crazy confusing.

I have one blog that I have been working on right now, www.alexislyn.com
I am working on making this 100% inbound links...so, when I go to do link trading, I tell people to link to that, and I will link to them from one of my other blogs with higer pr....I expect to go from pr0 to pr3 in the next update just because I am being so careful about only getting links in to that site.

I don't know if I covered everything, so I am here for questions, but remember, just like you, I am always learning also, so if I don't know something I can find out real quick from some of my se pro friends, but it might take me a few :)

This is a great strategy. Kind of like a TGP hub but now pimping out the engines. Good shit!

:okthumb: Great info I have been planning to do the ABC linking thing and am reading up on the blog thing first already got 2 sites up a general site and a web cam site and trying to find out whats the easiest and best way to set up my first blog site for a newbie with little tech skills ( I only use frontpage and easy cut/paste simple code insearts ). Maybe you can help me I know that most use and preffer I think its called word tracker or somthing like that and there are others but what about blogger is there a limit on how many I can put up and they would host them right?

What about the actual plan what I have read so far some of you put up from a few to a few dozen or more per day what I guess I can do is put 1 or 2 per day and place the link to my 2 sites in each blog and also place links and banners of all my affiliate sponsers, add some free pictures and videos and some text links also add a RSS auto feed skript to each blog that is relevant to it but what is the difference from blogs and regular sites?

So then what how do I promote the blog sites do I submit each one to SE's and directories?

Thanks and sorry for long post. :waving:

I have mixed feelings about ABC linking... Mainly it isn't worth a damn, IMHO, unless you have good linking text you are trying to capitalize on.

Like Teen Porn. But when people ask to be linked to on a domain like ScrubbiesGirls.com I am wondering why I would want to help them get the keywork Teen Porn when I want it myself.

Which brings up something you mentioned to me earlier. Working with your competition... Deciding that you cannot have the entire pie and working this the other blogs to each work each other into a nice set of keywords. Which goes against my feelings in the paragraph above this one...

Like I said... It is mixed... I guess it is time for the industry to unite and work with each other instead of against.

the best thing to do to start is link trades and directory submits, that alone will keep you busy for a few days on a couple of blogs, or if you are me and work slow and steady, a few weeks haha

www.adultblogresource.com has a great blog trade finder that a lot of us use

FYI, i have never "submitted" a site to a SE.....in fact, I don't even think half those submit forms on yahoo and google even go anywhere

best thing to do is get inbound non-reciprocal links

Like I said... It is mixed... I guess it is time for the industry to unite and work with each other instead of against.

I've been blogging for about three months now and it seems to me that the blogging community in general know that they have to work together for mutual benefit.
By the end of my first month I was averaging about 150 uniques a day - hey, I thought that was good for a beginner - and I was spending a lot of time reading other people's stuff. I also posted comments and grabbed some RSS feeds.
With about 300 or so uniques by the end of the second month, I was more than happy. In mid October, still reading whatever I could, I saw a post on one of the feeds that said this:
"I was talking to John over the weekend who's one of the team of writers for Fleshbot.com, and if you think it's difficulty posting twice a week, these guys have to post four times a day. He told me the hardest thing was thinking up new ideas."
So I sent John an email with links to some of my posts and simply said he could use them if he thought they were good enough. I thought no more about it until one night a couple of weeks later when I logged into Sextracker to check my stats and saw that the day total was heading towards 1,000 visitors This was something to celebrate, the first day I cracked the 'thou' so I headed of to the ice box, grabbed a beer and sat down to see where they were all coming from. Looking more closely, I almost choked on my beer when I realised that the 1000 figure referred to the hour, not the day. I got no sleep that night, checking links and tweaking banners and, I suppose, really enjoying myself for a 36 hour period that saw me get over 20K visitors, of which I guess 19,000 came from Fleshbot. The guy had written an absolutely amazing piece about my blog. It's all settled back down again now of course but I'm still looking at 3 times the visitors I had before the 'hit'.
In my usual long-winded fashion, I'm trying to make the point that I hadn't asked for anything, I'd offered to help in the same way that someone gave me a nudge to send off that email.
So maybe it's not about about fighting over key words but more about sharing it all around. As you said in your post, V_RocKs:work with each other instead of against.Sorry this was so long, especially for my first on Oprano. BTW "Hello everybody".

www.adultblogresource.com (http://www.adultblogresource.com/) is definately one of the best resouces to add your blog. I get 500-600 daily from them alone!

That's a great idea. I hadn't seen it laid out that nicely before.
