Time has come in my life for changes, and one of the many changes I am making is the pull myself out of the adult industry. It has nothing to do with porn or anything like that....

more to come later, but not like anyone cares....

Actually it's kind of interesting. For example- Is it just you or you and your wife? Big difference given she's the focus of paysites and such.

Why are so many people trying (and mostly failing) to get out of adult? Its a great business.

Damn, pulling out of the industry. You failure.

First you fail at being content, now you fail at marketing content. What's the next endeavour going to be.

Just remember, the ding means the fries are done :okthumb:

I have never failed at anything I have done...and just out of curiosity, where do you get that I failed at being content? While I made enough on the internet side to be very comfortable, being content was the most money I ever made in a that amount of time in my life

more like moving on for me....to be totally honest, I don't like doing the same thing for so long. I love money, and I make great money in adult, but I just need to change my life around every so often or I get bored. I have enough money saved up right now so I can take a break from everything for quite a while, then I plan on travelling with the wife.

I was actually a pastry chef in Nashville for 4 years before I ever started this shit, I made fucking great money, but I just got bored with that too.

What is the purpose of life if you are just going to do the same thing over and over again?

It wasn't really sabby bashing, well maybe a little.....it was just honestly how I felt about her, and judging from the most recent events with her, it was pretty right on

She seems like she can be a nice person and all, but has a terrible psycho side to her

I have yet to sense any psycho side to Sabby. She doesn't like springerdude (rhetorical) and he obviously has something against her, I know it goes back a long way but I don't know the details of it.

As far as the current Sabby stuff goes I know what I have read which sounds like both she and Jayman parted amiably. I do not label a change as failure (which Rhetorical does), it is in my mind merely a change.

Sabby has been around a long time and I have always enjoyed her, especially her pics :)

A brand change? With all respect I think it is a little more than that. Amicable? They all are in the news release. Not putting too fine a point on it Sar, but yes Sabby and I have a lot of history unfortunately, however that aside, this is far from a brand change.

anyone reading her posts on the various boards can tell that the only amicable thing about it was they both agreed to part ways....other than that there is obvious ill will

I would venture to guess that Sabby, like most solo girls starting out, wanted instant fame and riches, and when the site was open for a few weeks and had a slow start, she got like 90% of the solo girls out there and freaked out wondering why nothing was happening

I have heard the same story over and over from solo girls having someone else do their site for them
"why isn't it open yet?"
"what is taking so long?"
"this is easy to do, why is it not going faster??"
"why is there not money rolling in yet?"
"let me just buy all the content and I will do it myself"

if Sabby had all this traffic she claims to have, she would have done it herself, but my guess is that JayMan got sick of hearing her shit and told her to hit the road. It is pretty easy to be a failure in the paysite market, but you almost have to laugh when that failure comes in less than a month or two.

I like both parties involved so I'm happy to see the "in public good front" from them, but maybe Jayman and Sabby should never have teamed up in the first place. Jayman has had massive success in his niches and Sabby has done very very well in hers... the teaming of the two in a new area for them both might have been a bridge too far imho...

That site was doomed from the get go. Please take this as a professional opinion and not a personal barb. But there was never anything that gave it any kind of usp. There was no focus. It wasn't terribly good as a milf site and it was certainly not a young girl site. I think it was a good case study in what not to do if you want to do a single girl pay site. Unless you have a good gag, your site will fail. It has nothing to do with how pretty you are, how big your boobs are, or what you shove up what orifice. It is all to do with how you do it, how you spin it and then and only then, how you market it. This is a really good lesson for newbies to observe.

haha, shit, I don't wanna type all that shit out...but my specialty was Peanut Butter Chocolate Mousse Cake

That recipe was actually published on Godiva.com and also made it into one of their cookbooks

It is a layer of flat (unrisen) peanut butter cake, with chocolate mousse above that about 1.5 inches thick, then a peanut butter glaze over the entire thing, and drizzled with chocolate....all of this in a circle mold about 4 inches wide, and the cake stands about 2 inches tall...it looks SO nice on a plate
it takes two days to make and I can honestly say it is heavenly :)

If you ever seriously want some recipes, hit me up...I have a ton of tried and true recipes that will get any woman in bed! hahahaha...they are mostly pretty complicated though, but well worth the effort

And why is that? You pimp your wife in a way and why woudn't anyone in the adult entertainment industry have a right to be at an adult webmaster convention? He could certainly hook up some of the girls with photograhers if they were interested in modeling too, or might need to find someone to design some sites for the escorts, or maybe he could attend the seminars and learn how to market his service on the Internet, or maybe some of his girls were there as booth babes. I'm sure there are plenty of reasons he had a right to be there, even if it's just because he paid for his fucking ticket.

well, more than a few people, including I, felt that someone that wasn't really involved with the internet side of the biz, and also conducting an illegal business in atlanta, doesn't belong at a webmaster convention

jesus, all right, so escorting agencies are legal...

like gonzo said, the gathering was for webmasters in a private home, and they just weren't comfortable having someone that ran an escort agency be a part of it all

just out of curiosity, what is the difference between running an escort agency and being a "PImp" sending your girls off to have sexual encounters?

and why do so many escort agencies get busted on a consistant basis? because they allowed the women to knowingly have sex? well, isn't that why you call an escort agency?

It almost sounds like Jace has a problem with prostituion which seems strange for an adult webmaster and one that has a wife in the biz.

I don't have a problem with prostitution but unfortunately the government does. As to the difference between an escort agency and a pimp. The pimp rents out his girls for sex knowingly. The escort agency rents out their girls for 'dates' and if they decide to have sex with their 'date' later that night, that's between the girl and the 'date'.

you often like to read people and are wrong, that's ok though

I have no issues with prostitution, along with drugs, I think both should be legal

but I think it is silly, whether you are a government or individual, to really sit there and tell someone that an escort agency isn't a guise for a prostitution service...LOL

fact remains, girls are sent out on jobs and the leader of them takes a cut of their earnings....and before you ask, yes, I know plenty of escorts here in town, and their "pimp" takes a cut of their sex earnings, all under the guise of being an "escort"

that is like a coke dealer putting your drugs in your mailbox, but he isn't a drug dealer, he is a "postal prescription deliveryman"

Hammer
08-24-2006, 10:11 PM
But what I'm wondering is why that bothers you. Whatever 'guise' they put on it, if it's seen as legal, why does it matter to you? We can argue semantics all night but the law sees escorts differently than prostitutes. Obviously if an escort is caught taking money from a client to have sex with him after the 'date', then she'll be arrested for prostitution. Although I will say that we've designed many websites for escorts over the years and the good ones make $500 an hour and that's just for a dinner and the ballet or something so they don't need to hook to make big money. They make a couple grand a night going out on the arm of some rich fucker that's in town and needs a date for the night.

I don't think I could have answered this issue any better than y'all have.

My beef with not being invited had little to do with anyone's issues over my escort agency. It was that I had that and I was trying to get into the Internet side. Like I said above, I had a couple small sites then and was doing some affiliate stuff. I wanted to learn more, but despite my pleadings to the contrary, I was told in no uncertain terms that a "pimp" wasn't welcome at a convention.

As far as the difference between a pimp and an escort service - Pimps string girls out on dope, slap them around, intimidate them, fuck them and in general, treat them like work animals. My agency offered health insurance, financial planning, cell phones, pre-paid legal services, child care, personal website design and promotion, etc. Our clients were executives, judges, doctors, lawyers, priests and couples, not low-life shitbirds looking for a $20 hand job in the car, in an alley. I never fucked even one of the girls who worked for me, never allowed dope anywhere around the office, nor allowed high or drunk girls to work and was nothing but professional with them and the clients.

That's the difference. :okthumb:

I do think you run a straight up business that I have no trouble with and like the rest of us here, make your money out of sex. But here is the definition of a pimp:

Pronunciation: 'pimp
Function: noun
: one who derives income from the earnings of a prostitute usually by soliciting business

or as a verb if you like:
v : arrange for sexual partners for others

I would say that about covers your line of work. May as well be proud of it. Apart from a few on this board, we have all accepted that we all sell sex.

These days, on the other hand...I'm simply an advertiser. Just like the yellow pages, newspapers and nearly every other form of media in the world. I just allow escorts to advertise their services. I derive income from the men who want to pay to contact them.

OK, well try this one: Panderer
1. a person who furnishes clients for a prostitute or supplies persons for illicit sexual intercourse; procurer; pimp.

Dude around here we are all in a similar line of work one way or another. I don't think its a bad thing.

I don't think it's a bad thing either. But our personal opinions aside, both "pimping" and "pandering" are criminal offenses in the US. So, stick with me potzer...:waving:

I'm an advertiser. I don't furnish clients for anything illegal, nor provide contact information for people who do anything illegal. Especially nothing like prostitution.

I have nothing to do with anything save publishing information that one person chooses to make available to others. What they do is their business and theirs alone. I'm told that all monies exchanged are for time and companionship only. I have nothing to do with anything save publishing information that one person chooses to make available to others. What they do is their business and theirs alone. I'm told that all monies exchanged are for time and companionship only. Anything else that occurs is an independent decision between two consenting adults that has absolutely nothing to do with me, my site or any related to it.

I am sticking with you. However, I would find another avenue of discussion in public. Good luck to you. I wish you well. Its an honourable occupation.
