Greg Lasrado pleads guilty to heroin

A FORMER computer porn king who became addicted to drugs has pleaded guilty in a Brisbane court to possessing heroin.

Greg Shiraz Lasrado, 35, of Kenmore Hills, in Brisbane's west, pleaded guilty in Brisbane Magistrates' Court today to one count of possession of a dangerous drug on February 16 this year.

This was after the prosecution dropped another possession charge.
Defence barrister Chris Wilson successfully applied for an adjournment to obtain references and other material, and Lasrado's bail was extended until he is sentenced next Monday.

Lasrado was arrested at his home in possession of 5g of heroin in February.


At the time, he was injecting $4500 worth of heroin every day.
In the 1990s Lasrado built a web of more than 50 internet-related companies in Australia and overseas, earning him up to an estimated $10 million a year.

He owned luxury houses and drove a $500,000 black Lamborghini before his businesses went into receivership.

Now someone please pop in and again explain to us that we should admire someone who made millions with shady practices and then pissed it all away on drugs and other bad habits.

Yup, one hell of a guy....role model for everyone.

Dope is called dope for a good reason.

$4,500 a day is average for smack addicts. If you've ever worked drug rehab like I have you wouldn't be surprised. What's amazing is how many of these addicts acquire the money to feed their habits. It's astounding the scams and schemes they come up with. A true tribute to the ingenuity of the unconcious mind. I've seen housewives, I mean like tv mom type housewives running massive, intricate gambling or loansharking empires to pay for their habits and protection. Remarkable! Judges getting daily payoffs to support their habits and after rehab not knowing what the hell they'd been doing for the past 10 years. Some not even knowing they'd been married!

Ever since 9/11 and our invasion into Afghanistan the production of heroin has accelerated to such a degree that it's upset the balance of power in law enforcement.

Smack junkies will become geniuses overnight to get their fix. I mean GENIUSES. I've never seen anything like it. Most you wouldn't know are junkies. The ones on skid row are one thing, but the mom and pops, the military officers, the scientists and doctors, the cops and judges...it boggles the mind! It's like once a person gets hooked their judgement shuts down and they go on an automatic acquisition.

This guy had talent, somehow he got hooked and look where it's led him.

I know it sounds unbelievable but there are people with habits that high and higher. That's why smack is such a big business.
