Dear Merchants,

Etelegate would like to clear the air for all of the old IBILL transferred merchants and explain what is going on. There are always two sides to every story and many webmasters have only read the webmaster boards and have not heard Etelegate's side. Etelegate is very much open to hearing from each and everyone of you! We want your feedback, suggestions, comments good and bad, as our interests are the same. We want all merchants to process successfully and grow with us.

The facts about the relationship between Etelegate and IBILL:

Etelegate did not purchase or take over IBILL, nor will we ever do this.

Etelegate is not a deviation or re-brand of ibill. Etelegate is a payment processing solution that has been active for many years; a different company, different entity, run by different people with absolutely no relation to iBill previous to March 27, 2006.

Etelegate is a payment gateway which licence's its gateway to many payment processors around the world and was used by IBILL to process for its merchants.

Ibill is now a reseller for Etelegate and does not process for its old book of transferred merchants anymore. These merchants were transitioned to Etelegate on March 27, 2006.

Etelegate does not owe IBILL’ transferred merchants any money previous to March 27, 2006. IBILL processed these transactions, Etelegate did not. Only IBILL is responsible for these payout's and their notes payable obligations.

Etelegate is now working directly with the old IBILL transferred merchants and will help these merchants with any issues regarding any transactions processed on or after March 27, 2006. Etelegate will help these and any existing or new merchants with day to day questions, technical integration, payout's, etc. We are available and ready to help any current or potential merchant Mon-Fri 10am.-5p.m. MST. 1-800-676-0127.

Etelegate has made its first scheduled payment on time to compliant merchants for the June 15th payout. The next scheduled payment will be July 1st 2006. All compliant merchants will receive this payout on time as well. After July 1st, all payments will occur weekly on Fridays at the merchant's discretion.

If merchants have not received thier June 15th payout, it means the company is not compliant. Merchants need to complete these 4 steps, then call or email Etelegate and payments will be processed same day! Once the below 4 items are complete, merchants payments will never be delayed and on-time payments will occur. Merchants will also be able to process new transactions.

1.)Website is up and working (valid website) and processing new orders.
2.)Etelegate merchant contract is signed and emailed to Etelegate
3.)Merchant must be integrated directly with Etelegate (not through secure.ibill.com) using our payment page and a pay button posted on the webmasters site. No reference should be made to iBill on the order page as iBill is no longer the processing gateway.
4.)A valid Username/Password is registered in the Etelegate system to spot check content.

Etelegate is no longer working with the previous bank that IBILL transferred merchants used, as Etelegate has its own banking relationships. All old IBILL transferred merchants that wish to process now using Etelegate will deal only with Etelegate, and NOT IBILL anymore. Etelegate is here to help!

Why did this happen? During the Ibill-Etelegate Conversion, Etelegate sent out a mass mails informing merchants that they must become compliant with Etelegate Policy. Following this, iBill reps contacted all available merchants to help them become compliant with the 4 items mentioned above. This compliance is required by the bank for all merchants to continue processing. The bank allowed us a 1 Month grace period to make all merchants compliant. We were able to extend this period to just over 2 months. Many of the merchants were able to become compliant in time, and are now continuing to process with us and get paid out regularly. Unfortunately, those merchants who have not become compliant after 2.5 months are now having their funds held by the bank. The good news is that the bank will release funds immediately for anyone who becomes compliant and resumes processing. Getting compliant takes minutes. Give us a call for more information.

Etelegate can successfully process all new and re-bill Visa, Master Card, Discover, JCB, e-Checks, and Web900 transactions. There is no set up fee to begin processing with Etelegate and can have merchants processing within 24 hours.

Beginning July 1, 2006 Etelegate will offer WEEKLY PAYMENTS on Fridays with only a 1 week hold. Etelegate will also offer ePassporte.com payout's in addition to the ach and wire transfer pay options.

Etelegate understands that this has been a difficult transition but we are stronger than ever, secure, and ready to work with you. Etelegate has a proven track record for on-time payments, unique features that no other processor offers, internal cascading billing, and in many cases be 50% less expensive to process with than our competition, and to many other options to list. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact by phone or email and we will be more than happy to help you in any way we can.

Thank you,

Etelegate Staff

I never was with IBILL and when looking for a mechant I looked at them, saw who ran the company and walked away. I think I did right.

But from your post is seems to me you are billing on merchants behalfs without them authorising you to do so. Then you are holding their money from them even though you have no signed contract.

Am I right?

So are there any programs or sites of any decent size still sending them new signups?

And if so, can I have some of what you're smoking? On second thought, keep whatever you're smoking away from me....

I find it quite funny that a company would ally themselves in any way with another company that had so many problems and such a bad reputation. What did they think people were going to think?

I find it hilarious that a financial company did not do a big investigation on who there allying themselves with. Then asks us to trust them.

They allowed IBILL to transfer all the merchants and did not do a seach on Google to see if there were any problems. And now think we should trust their handling of OUR money.

None of this gives me any confidence in them at all.

unfortunately, in this biz aside from ccbill and epoch, 2 years is a lifetime for a porn processor...
