I'm going down to San Diego this weekend, and it'll be the first show I'm attending as someone with something to SELL, rather than just li'l ol' part-time webmaster with a day job. If you're there and you haven't met me in person yet, come up and introduce yourself! :-) I'm excited to see everyone!

Just couldn't talk myself into a cross country plane ride for a show of that size.
I wish there were some more regional shows. Seems to make more sense to put on maybe 3-4 really really well done regional shows that are of a manageable size than it is to try to do a "big show" these days.

and everyone planning shows seems to be shying away from our region
are we hated that much around these parts?

atlanta has alot to offer for a show, plenty of hotels, plenty of nightlife and good eats. and it's a major air hub not only for the southeast but the eastern seaboard.
however, it's also the bible belt. downtown sucks after dark and many joints still roll up the sidewalks at dark. to make a really decent, say phoenix type show, in atlanta, it would need organizers who are local to direct the events to the proper venues in buckhead and midtown. but you've still got the problem of no hotel here will want to touch a "porn show".
it can be done though, i know cornetta and others have had some parties and weekend events that were not exactly low key. and i'm sure many of us can think of locals who can identify the hot spots from the lukewarm ones.
but hey, i'd just settle for one in the southeast that is NOT in florida.

hell man, that webmaster access they did here was phenomenal....everyone had a blast, the events were off the hook and the night time shit was crazy
it would just have to be planned out really well, but we already know one hotel downtown that is willing to accomodate us :)

It's just as damn hot and humid in ATL as it is in FL. At least in FL you have the beach :)

and now that we have the aquarium, there is even one more reason to throw a show here....porn+fish=love

Oh yeah, the aquarium is going to welcome a bunch of pornographers with welcome arms ;)
Spring would be good for ATL. Fall too though to have a really GOOD one in the fall, it would have to be in my neck of the woods ;) Winter's too tricky. Every 5 years or so we have a snow/ice storm that cripples us.
BTW, no one's stopping either of you from organizing this, ya know ;)

and now that we have the aquarium, there is even one more reason to throw a show here....porn+fish=love
The aquarium ballroom would be a fun place to have a dinner event or something, but I'm with Peaches, I dont know that they'd touch us with a 10 foot pole.
It would be tough for a sponsor to even take a big group on an aquarium tour by simply buying a group pass because someone would be stupid enough to show up with titties hanging out and scare the normals.

I don't know man, last weekend was a pretty crazy time and I never saw one pair of titties in public, and there were plenty of models/web girls/porn stars there
as far as the world is concerned we are "internet professionals"

hey, if they're willing to do it, especially for a private after hours function, it's a killer facility that i think a lot of people would enjoy.
no idea what it costs, but i'd expect it to be on par with what hotel ballroom space costs....maybe a tad more.

Yeah, but I wasn't there. I have a bad habit of whipping out my boobs in public places after too many cocktails. Usually there's someone there to pick them up from around my knees and flop them back into my bra for me.
