the-one-and-only.com - dating site. Smart marketing too. The check had a letter telling me how many people never make one penny on the web.
I think they are gone or swallowed up by another "Legendary" traffic shaving dating site.

Shit. I'm pretty sure it was Max Cash but it very well might have been True Cash as I received two big checks from them both about the same time. Got a shitload of top 10 spots in the se's for various sex and free sex related terms and had them in exit consoles on every page of my paysite!! :>)))

Somewhere in early 1997, Fast Cash from Cybererotica.
It was such easy money then.
Put up a page with a handful of naked pics, slap some banners on it and watch big checks show up.

This was when I figured I could make a little money on the side while practicing law. 4 months later, I realized there was a lot more out there...

CyberErotica. I was working for them at the time and had just got my own domains. Sent all my traffic to them. I think the first check was about $700 which was more than I had put into the biz by then ;)
On the internet side of things CCBill sent my first one for our website back in 2000 or so
My first check in the adult industry was hand written to me by Randy West for $2400 for 3 hours worth of work....damn, those were the days

I received two the same day -- one from Fantasyman (I forget what it was - ten or fifteen cents a click), and the other from Serge's Clicks. A couple of days later I got one from XPics (oy).

mid '97, Xpics...I "accidently" posted a bunch of links in various newsgroups ;-)
I got my first check from Cybererotica - like $50 or something - but I got my first REAL check for over $500 from MaxCash... that's when the lightbulb went off in my head telling me that this was definitely something I should stick with. lol
