I've seen and heard almost universal condemnation of The Davinci Code from critics. Have read a few positive reviews but have seen and heard about a ton of negative ones. I personally don't give a shit what critics say as I base my viewing list on stuff other than what they have to say. That said do you think it will hurt the movie at all or actually help it by lowering expectations for moviegoers? Also, will the negative reviews have an impact on whther you will go see the movie or not?

Yeah.. but will you listen to the critics and not go Peaches? I know I plan on seeing it regardless of the criticism of it. I liked what i saw in the previews.

I rarely go to movies - usually wait until they're on DVD or Cable.

Probably the monkey. The goats are mellowwww dudes. In fact they are sitting out behind the barn chewing on their cud and meditating. If you listen close you can hear them Ohmmm Ohmmm.

I thnk critics get caught up in the hoorah too much some times and they let the media bias their reviews

plus, almost every movie the critics say they hate I almost always love...except for Gigli, we all agreed that sucked

I will be going to see it for sure...and I am pretty sure it is going to be pretty cool

also take into consideration, a lot of critics/media is religious biased, so a lot of reviews you see might also be coming from pressure...because we know, after all, that religions are the biggest corporations in the world :)

I intend to see it next week after the crowds die down. I liked the book and want to see how close the movie is to the actual book. Plus it is the only place I can turn my cell phone off.

Shhhh, don't tell anyone.
