"Brace yourselves," says Thomas Kostigen in Market Watch (http://www.marketwatch.com/News/Story/Story.aspx?guid=%7BEA15A7B4%2D2310%2D4404%2D9B0F%2 D89EB297B6CA3%7D&siteid=mktw&dist=) "There are going to be millions more Paris Hiltons in the world." The number of millionaires in the U.S. is soaring -- the fastest-growing group is the "super-rich" worth more than $5 million. As the baby-boom generation ages, Americans will pass down trillions of dollars to their heirs, creating a boom in trust-fund babies. "Add to that the prospect of zero estate tax in four years, and Tiffany's may run out of silver spoons."

We seem to be on the same page again...

My wife and I realised that without anything from us , my children stand to inherit more from relatives than a surfmaster will earn in his lifetime.

Its actually quite concerning.

I wasn't trying to be a dick , honestly. :)

But you may not be far off. It is quite concerning trying to instil a work ethic when this is a likely scenario...................

So how did you gain so much wealth?

""Well my Dad really prized education so I worked hard all through High School and was an Honour Roll student and eventually managed to follow my relatives example and got a scholarship to Oxford.I was lucky and worked hard and got an upper first.""

Ah and then you entered the world of business? Law? Medicine?

""Oh yeah , I articled at a really good firm in London...""

Ah you became a partner at an early age?

"" Naw , a couple of Aunts and Uncles died and left me $20m""

(And for a traffic whore let me prempt you , I DO work hard. I work hard 5-6 hours a day........then I put the golf clubs down and have dinner ;-))
