Which is more important?

The information or the manner in which the information is delivered?

And the rules are that you only get to pick one of the two.

Profit from the message
Shoot the messenger
Enslave his wife
Sell his children
Wait for the next message.

That's all I know.

Ahhh.... not a black and white answer. Too many variables to a different situation.

Nopers, nothing complicated bout it.

The content

or

The delivery

Well, let's say the message is how to get traffic.

Any helpful person could say "Do A, Do B, Do C" and you'd have it.

Serge would scream for pics of big boobs on large women, insult the person asking about a method of getting traffic, drop a few misquotes and somewhere along the way pester the person asking about traffic methods with seemingly irrelevant annoying questions that would ultimately end up with the person having an epiphany where he realized what the fuck Serge was finally getting at and how to get traffic.

Spoon-feeding is much less entertaining.

I agree with TheEnforcer, the delivery method directly effects how the content is received. The two can't be separated.

Oh, puuu-leaze. I learned a long time ago the only thing likely to happen when you straddle the fence is ya get busted nuts.

Some of the best teachers and instructors I ever had were complete and total assholes. Some of the bosses I learned the most from could best be described as graduates of the Idi Amin School of Tact and Diplomacy.

Most of the people who whined about their methods weren't all that motivated to learn what they had to offer, or didn't want the information enough to put up with a little unpleasantness.

I'm not straddling the fence, I'm saying that the entire premise of the question is flawed.

Actually, JR, you freeking walley. I cruise this board in firefox and once in awhile check in on IE.

"The painters work is all in vain, the shit house poet strikes again"

Whislting dixie and skipping off into the ether again. Oh yeah and lmfao. CYA kids. I have a two week shift covering vacation time for others down at the burger king. I wll have to just leave it to all you creative high rollers to shepherd the board and insult hard working web professionals that actually understand business. However, since most of you seem to be living off your wives....unlike me....then I will just leave you to piss in your sandbox and have fun.

but I'll also tell how to get rid of bicycle traffic and I misquote:

A couple were sitting up waiting for their 15 year old son to come home from
a social engagement when the boy came into the house with a big smile on his face.

"Hi, Mom! Hi, Dad! "he said breathlessly...."Guess what! I've just had sex for the first time, and it was wonderful!"

His mother turned red and said to her husband, "He's your son. You talk to him". Then she left the room.

The father said... "Son, that's great. Now you've become a man and I'm proud of you. I'm going to celebrate the occasion by buying you that ten-speed bike you've been wanting. I hope you don't mind waiting till payday to get it".

"That's OK, Dad", said the boy. "I couldn't ride it right now anyway.
My ass is too sore..........."

another noob misconception. The MOST wine related information I've got on wine boards from people I could have strangled, which hasn't made the information any less palatable and usefull.

"noobs say the dardnest things" another misquote from the Oprano Pearls

If the premise of the question is flawed the rules are irrelevant.

The premise of the question is just fine.

It is easy. If you are looking for an answer, which is more important, the answer itself or the way the answer is delivered?

In my ever so humble opinion, the answer is what matters. It doesn't matter what kind of sugar coating you put on the delivery of the answer, if the answer is wrong it ain't worth shit. On the other hand, if the answer is wrapped in dogshit, but it is the right answer, it is worth getting some shit on you to get to the answer.

Too many folks want the answer but also demand that it gets delivered in a "nice" manner. Screw that shit.

PD got it right, some of the best teachers I have had were the nastiest motherfuckers you could possibly find.
