we are about a week behind on it though, she gets about 20 a day, and with the site moving as slow as it does sometimes it makes it hard to answer them all

I'm curious why you censor all the nipples on her tour? Surely you have all the proper 2257 docs and since breasts are not obscene, what's the point? It sure can't be doing anything good for your conversions.

hell yeah, in fact, yesterday I we spent almost 14 hours on myspace, I can't wait to get sign ups, i wonder when they will start?
and yeah, conversions are horrible on my site, just terrible

you keep forgetting that they are the ones arguing that its a brave new world that older guys don't understand. we should all be reading very attentive at how not to make money, how not to manage your time well and how to convince yourself you are actually doing it for the passion, not dollars... its something quite new to most of the people that have been around for a while.
please... carry on about how not to make money. many old timers are very interested in the n00b perspective.

one thing I do know is that our site keeps a consistant ratio of around 1:350, and that is with even tgp traffic..so, while you MAY think that I am doing something wrong, my stats show that I am doing something right..and at the end of the day nothing you can say will affect the way I think because I just have to look at my stats to know I am doing the right thing

It's not rocket science to realize that the playing field is spread out 1000's of times wider today than it was in 1998 (when I started) or earlier.
I have mad respect for most of the guys who were in the game already when I got in. Most of the ones I knocked shoulders with were honest, and although we all valued our surfers we were all also patently aware of the aweful truth.... that surfers give about as much of a shit about you the webmaster as you do about them, period. Consider the fact that many of those "dinosaurs" are still around, their businesses still thriving. It's called being adaptable, it's called not only being innovative but in thinking in the long-term.
Some of you guys are getting quite cocky at the oldies, but the fact is they made it, you haven't yet.
No need for all the lameass attitude from either side. It's counterproductive and a huge waste of time, but the other fact to consider here is: Which side can honestly afford and justify that waste of time? My vote goes to the oldies.

its all about ROI (money and time). for some people it makes perfect sense to work 18hrs a day, competing with 500,000 idiots for 5K a month just so they can temporarily dodge their real destiny of flipping burgers. for those who know their earning potential and the value of their time and considering the general instability of this business, its not worth it.

Jace, if you're serious in what you replied to me and want help and weren't just being sarcastic, then I'd say that the fact that you are censoring the breasts, which really makes no sense since they aren't obscene and showing breasts is in no way giving away free porn, is going to hurt your sales. I'd suggest removing the censoring. I'd also recommend making the tour much harder core. To me, it's too soft.
You do have some small sample hardcore pics in the scrolling section on the first page so I know your wife does more than just pose for cheesecake shots, but the average surfer that looks at the site won't know that.
As I mentioned before, I do think there are better ways to spend 12 hours a day than xpeeps and Myspace.

actually, since we threw that new tour up our conversions have gotten twice as good...while before when I showed hardcore on the tour we were getting a steady 1:800-1000, we now are at a consistant 1:300-500 across the board...I have affiliates that I have had for years emailing me thanking me for putting up that new tour becuase they can't believe how much better it is doing.
I have a second tour going up in the next week that will have a little more action on it, but it will still be censored to an extent, but because of the amateur nature of the tour it will be much more revealing.
After that, next month, I will be having a full on hardcore tour made for a 3rd tour...but even that will be censored to an extent.
so, while I used to agree that the surfer needed to see more before he would join, I am doubting it now...I actually think that surfers are much smarter these days and can understand why tours have censored parts, and I can't imagine that a few little stars is going to convince the surfer that she doesn't actually have boobs, and therefor they won't join

hey man, I am all for advice and helpful criticism, it is when you all belittle and poke fun that makes me not take you all seriously....and I hate to group you guys into one group because I know you all are each individuals, but you all seem to have this tag team thing going on for anyone that doesn't agree with you or share your views. and while I respect that most of you have seen things in this biz that I could only imagine, I also see this contempt that you all have for anyone that is outside your knitting circle
I just want helpful/useful business discussions, and you all don't seem to want that, you all seem to have more interest in another agenda

actually, since we threw that new tour up our conversions have gotten twice as good...while before when I showed hardcore on the tour we were getting a steady 1:800-1000, we now are at a consistant 1:300-500 across the board...I have affiliates that I have had for years emailing me thanking me for putting up that new tour becuase they can't believe how much better it is doing.
I have a second tour going up in the next week that will have a little more action on it, but it will still be censored to an extent, but because of the amateur nature of the tour it will be much more revealing.
After that, next month, I will be having a full on hardcore tour made for a 3rd tour...but even that will be censored to an extent.
so, while I used to agree that the surfer needed to see more before he would join, I am doubting it now...I actually think that surfers are much smarter these days and can understand why tours have censored parts, and I can't imagine that a few little stars is going to convince the surfer that she doesn't actually have boobs, and therefor they won't join
Question/Comment:
Isn't popularity also a factor?
At a certain point the name & the face become know by surfers, and then the full nudity is not truly needed in the tours to attract attencion until they get into actual paysite?

I can understand the confusion, but I'm still unclear at what point I appeared condescending or trite in my replies to your posts. Now it appears that I was offering advice based on misinformation and sarcasm which I hadn't picked up on. Surely you've noticed by now that I'm not considered an 'oldie' around here.
Unfortunately, I think the likelihood of us having intelligent convos on this board are slim.

Laughing here, but damn I had almost zero overhead and was pulling in over 4-5 times what I used to make during the 15 years I worked as a health care worker at a local hospital.
