Incorrect, BIG time..
Iceland has one of the LOWEST consumptions in the WORLD.

Have you ever PAY for a drink in Iceland? I did...which would explain the reason why
;)

6.1 is Litres per capita (year 2000 )

I lived in Iceland from November of 2001 to January of 2003. My ex husband is USAF and they stationed us there. It was a great experience and especially since I was only 20 and could drink.

oh shit. i never thought about that. that is a pain in the ass. the san francisco consulate used to do them by mail. my first experience going to russia was a flight to magadan and the aeroflot people let us on the plane even though when we arrived, our visas would still not be active for 12 more hrs. they promised us it would be ok and that they would alert officials in magadan, it happens all the time, no big deal... etc.

i was naive about things at the time. anyway, we spent many hours at magadan airport under armed guard being yelled at by different high ranking border guard officials. pretty much set an appropriate tone for what was to follow in the coming months... and the next 10 years :)

Oh I loved it. The food was awesome and the people were the nicest I have ever met. Going to the clubs down there was always a blast and they treated us like we were kings there. I never got to go to the Blue Lagoon cause the ex was a bore but I did do alot of off roading and went to the beach alot. Im still amazed at the crime rate down there being nothing and was never afraid of walking down the streets. I miss the mall down in Reykavik and I was wrong when I said lived there, I actually lived in Keflavik....man I want to go back so bad.

Niagara is more impressive,
but black sand on the beaches and puffins flying over them is a one of a kind view.

cool! its a nice place to stay in seattle.

my business partner in mainstream stuff is a part time project manager/consultant for the guy who owns the edgewater and his company (noble house resorts). he is there everday right now. I just asked him if he could get you a deal on rooms there and he said if it was anything but a weekend, he could because they are pretty full. but i will bug him about it (1/2 for you because you are nice, 1/2 for myself because i enjoy annoying him).
