I’ve noticed that some niche sites offer their members more then one site or feeds that have other content then the niche they have subscribed to. So if you’re into spanking you login and get gay, blow jobs & the like.

More bang for the buck or a pain in the ass?

I personally like niche sites that stick to the niche with clearly defined content and only the niche I’ve subscribed to. I like the sites that feature episodes, so to speak.

Next question. How come there are not more solo niche sites? Or are there and I just don’t see them. I know Eve Ellis and that Barbie bondage girl but I wonder how many others. Do you think these sites would do well?

I also prefer sites that stick to their niche.

There are more solo fetish sites out there, mostly based in Europe rather than in the US, and only a few have affiliate programs.

A couple of sites you may already be aware of with CCBill programs:

Some EU based leather & latex solo sites:

Yes, know about those. I just think kinky solo girls, rather then the innocent girl next door - babes from hell types - who are submissive and will try anything. Wait- there are probably a bunch of those. lol

Do you think surfers prefer sticking to a niche or do you think they like getting a whole bunch of OTHER content for free when they join?

I don't think all the "bonus" content is of much value on a true niche sites. Surfers that are looking for niche content are usually very specific about what they're looking for. The rest doesn't seem to interest them.

I think so too. I think that it makes more of a mess and too much clutter. Also confuses navigation. I hate going to a niche site to see "Bondage" and click videos and see a bunch of blow jobs and shit I'm just not interested in.

If the site is marketed specifically to one niche then the site should be all about that niche. However if the site owner has the means to provide other areas within the site that provide additional content then it should be provided. Even if your heavy into a fetish that doesn't mean that is the only thing that will get you off. You might be in a mood one day and want something that is the opposite of your normal taste.

Having additional content is not going to hurt the site. If anything you may meet the consumers needs for a little while longer before they cancel and move on to the next site.

With that said I'm not talking about a mega site that is the same backend for a bunch of different front doors. The site should really be built to the niche it is represented as. A link in the primary navigation that leads to a warehouse of other content is fine as long as it doesn't take away from the flavor of the site.

Thank you Bishop. That is a good point.

I do offer feeds to my members, more so for variety and retention.Obviously I am not a huge program site so little things like feeds help me keep members.

It seems like more of these companies are starting to offer more niche type feeds, so you may find something that suits your particular niche.

Some times, it depends on the fetish or niche.

Someone into domestic spanking may also be into enemas and bondage, perhaps.

Balloon people tend to stick with inflatables and they can be pretty picky, although there can be a cross over into that which is latex....

The smaller the niche, the less likely there will be much of a cross over, though.....

Having said that..to add a bonus section, separate from the content that attracted the member in the first place, is not a bad idea...as long as the bulk of the material inside the site is dedicated to the specific niche.

I'm not looking for feeds. I am already signed up with Bad Ass Feeds. I think its great because my feeds also have an upsell & it makes me money. It not only pays for itself but makes me some money too.

Carly I think that if a site has plenty of its own content, especially exclusive niche content & UPDATED often that the extra stuff if there IF they want it or not. Basically what Bishop said.

Hmmm.. gotta say I like the Fetish Queen site out of that group. There is something really sexy about a beautiful woman in glasses and latex/leather!! :) Lady Sonia is interesting too.

They all are but those two stand out to me. I find it VERY interesting that they are mostly out of the eurpoean area.

The trick with any fetish site is knowing the fetish. When you do, you understand what kind of bonus content is appropriate. Mostly it is subtle and the average person would not even understand why the content was appropriate. I would say that anyone with a fetish is very, very specific and focussed on what he is after. It is all in the details. If you are going to add bonus content to a fetish site, you can do very well in retaining your customers because they know you "get it". If you add the wrong content, you shoot yourself in the foot. If your guys love metal bra clips and you put up content with plastic bra clips, you will lose business. The average person looking at your site, just thinks it is a bra site. But it goes well beyond that. It is the secret of success in boutique websites.

I didn't want to start a new thread for this since it's along the same topic.

Ok so what are some of the more popular micro niches? This is a quiz.

...Ok so what are some of the more popular micro niches?...That question is along the same order as the weekly fishing report in the newspaper. By the time you read about it, you should have been there a couple of days ago.

In fact, I think the less popular micro niches can be the most profitable, due to the lack of competition, but only IF you have access to the right content AND you can expose it to the right traffic. Far easier said than done.
