“Naturally the common people don’t want war. But after all, it is the
leaders of a country who determine the policy, and it’s always a
simple matter to drag people along whether it is a democracy or a
fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship.
Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of
the leaders. This is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are
being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and
for exposing the country to danger. It works the same in every
country.”

Michael Moore?
Dick Cheney?
Hermann Goering?
Prince Charles?

I would say without looking it up it is Goering.

Let me know if I am correct.

Serge, I wrote one of my senior thesis on Goering, and the use of propaganda against the USSR. One day the Russians are the Germans best friends, the next Barbarossa.

You can write thesis on USA...
One day the Bin Laden is the USA's best friends, the next 9/11

You should have warned the State Department.

Because of your porn ties as well as being an immigrant, that is 3 strikes!

How was Japan? I am interested how a Nation that the US defeated in battle, nuked, wrote the Constitution for, and occupy militarily to this day is doing.

MikeAI, would you beleive me if I tell you that Japan lost the war and won the peace?
They are ahead of us in communication technology, public transportation is light years ahead of USA, the maximum tax bracket and that includes ALL taxes is 25% (average in the country is 10%), the Constitution which USA has written and which doesn't allow military build up in Japan was very very good for them. They are the Superpower as far as Economy is concerned.
