The Gateway Grizzlies, a minor league team, have teamed up with Krispy Kreme Doughnuts to create "Baseball's Best Burger": a burger, cheddar cheese, and two slices of bacon, with a sliced Krispy Kreme doughnut serving as the bun.

Baseball's Best Burger contains about 1,000 calories and 45 grams of fat.

Grizzlies general manager Tony Funderburg told ESPN that, at $4.50 each, the burgers are a bargain: they're dinner and dessert, all in one.
Tina Bryan commented on Krispy Kreme's behalf.

“Our doughnuts have been used in such things as wedding cakes, bread pudding, fondue, and now a hamburger bun," she said in a statement posted on the Grizzlies site.

"What a fun and unique way to offer our signature Original Glazed doughnut to Grizzlies fans.”

Mulligan's, a suburban bar in Decatur, Georgia, serves a dish they call the "Hamdog": a hot dog wrapped in a beef patty that's deep fried, covered with chili, cheese and onions, and served on a hoagie bun topped with a fried egg and two fistfuls of fries.

Oh god, my stomach literally just lurched, and not in a good way, it looks positively nauseating...

...then again, I absolutely cannot stand donuts.
