I read an article in the Miami Herald to remind everybody in South Florida about basically enjoy the nice weather before the disaster returns. The temperatures are climbing back to the 80s on a regular basis. Let's just screw the tourism down here. Just when I was enjoying things.

I always wanted a house at the beach.. I start looking then big storm years hit like last year. I change my mind and stop looking.. A few years pass and I again start looking.. then big storms come back and I stop looking. Its a never ending cycle.
I'm really looking forward to having my yard and house remodeled be 100+ mph wet winds again.
The sky is so beautiful with no light pollution as you listen to the gentle roar of generators all around.
Weather has been beautiful that last few months…

100 mph remodeling.. the thought of that freaks me the hell out. Insurance must be outrageous.

The first tornados of the season touched down about 75 miles SE of me. We had baseball-sized hail falling for about ten minutes on Saturday, too.

I'll pass on that weather as well.. I got enough of that in Texas. Baseball size hail does MASSIVE damage.. I'll admit it is kinda cool to drive around town and see the destruction afterward though.. haha,..

I haven't renewed for this year yet but I'm sure it isn't going to be good.
Homeowners should stay about the same but only because it doesn't cover wind or flood. I'm in the flood X zone so it's actually really cheap and very unlikely that my place would flood but I am less then ten feet above sea level so I'm going to get flood this year too.
I'm east of Federal Hwy next to the Intercostal so I'm in the state high risk windstorm insurance pool so it was already high and I'm hearing that it might be forty percent more this year, ouch.
I have a generator, two different connections to the internet plus both satellite and cable for TV. I'll have close to two hundred gallons of gas stored. I only had eighty gallons last year and had to go looking after ten days for more. Plus I'm going to have my water delivery service stock me up with like fifty gallons of bottled water.
No mud slides, no real problems with tornados, no sides of mountains catching on fire, no snow, no earthquakes, no floods.
Hurricanes suck but at least we get plenty of warning.
