I just bought a version of Sony Movie Studio that has 1000 music clips supposedly. Ill let you know how it works out.

Sniff around, you can find stock clips like Gonzo alludes to and license-free stuff. That's the easy route.

Second best is if you can barter with someone who has a band or is a bit of a musician and is willing to trade their work for credit on your sites or something.

If you want popular music that people will actually recognize such as current or past hits, it's a fucking pain in the ass. You'd think it would be easy to license just like pics are, but no these are some seriously greedy bastards. Not only do they want a cut of everything you make off anything you use their music in, they're gonna pound you with 10 pounds of contracts to sign that gives them full rights to examine your books anytime they want to make sure they're getting what they figure is their fair cut.
