Let's assume extortion, blackmail, robbery and anything totally illegal are off the table...

With absolutely no money or knowledge, if you're hot, female and 18, the content path works, but let's assume that's not the case either.

Obvious answer is scrape for pennies starting out with free hosting, sponsor provided content and trying to find the 3-4 places left on the net that will actually link to either. But even that requires some knowledge.

With no knowledge or money today, I think you have to indenture yourself to someone else for cheap in exchange for knowledge and perhaps a future stake. Lots of people out there with tons of content, domains, hosting, etc laying around who might look for someone enterprising who would work for nothing or next to it as kind of an intern to build it all out. And maybe give 'em a taste of the backend once it's all built and running.

Seriously, the best thing to do is learn about self traffic generation first and foremost. ( content is cheap now days 0 ultimatly you will need some content of your own, but that is semi expensive to produce to start out with .

Just start with a blog network, A www.remotethumbs.com tgp network of your own, and some free sites you can get listed on linklist and such. submitt some of your own made gallerys ( not the FHG's )

and work on traffic development first.

WHATEVER YOU DO , DO NOT BUY SHIT TRAFFIC AS FEEDER TRAFFIC IT SUCKS! you are better off using that money to build and own more domains to do trades and link to and other SEO tricks. as was mentioned read YNOT, and green Guy and jim, and Netpond for their great newbie resourcses on how to start things cheap, they hacve some terrific advice offered out already, you will just need to read it and put it into practise .

I don't enterly agree with this. I understand how the porn network works and the benefits of being "known". Maybe it works in cases where you're all selling the same shit in a different package.

Well, I'll jump in. I just started in November as far as being a camgirl/webmaster/amateursite girl...I'd been doing some shoots on places like voyeurweb, etc, so I already had content. I didn't have a working knowledge of having an "adult site" though I did have webmaster knowledge. I had no clue what a TGP or anything like that was...

So I started by networking on the sites that I was posting at for free and not making any money off of. When people would leave me a response, I'd email them and start a conversation with them. After an email or two, I'd ask them if they wanted to join my yahoo group that I had set up and invite them to that. I also would go on to free webcamming sites like jmeeting and put up a link to my yahoo group or blog to entice people to see the pictures that I had up. This was a great way for me to build up a mailing list. I had over 750 members when I was finally working up to making my own site.

The next step was to get a domain and a host. Due to some privacy problems, I knew I had to change my name (since I was actually going by my REAL name...and with some family members on a hunt for anything discriminating, I couldn't risk it). So I held a contest for members of my yahoo group. I finally got the votes all in and calculated and bought the domain from godaddy.com. That was the first amount of money I invested -- 12.95 I think for the domain & the privacy protection.

I also signed up for a free host - host.camz.com. I knew that I would be able to get free hosting, as well as camz shows so that I could a) make money off of the private shows and b) create exposure doing the hour shows. One week of doing camz shows paid for my camera and extra lighting etc...I was able to get a bunch more content shot and get the site up and running.

I then looked around for affiliates..whether it be other girls with sites or stores that sold adult toys or lingerie. I haven't yet put these pages of my site together the way that I want them to be yet - but I'm working on them.

I think the biggest thing was finding a way to source some extra funds while I was still getting my site together -- by doing private shows on a webcamming network. Unfortunatly, due to some meddling people in my life, I had to close down my yahoo group before I could announce the name of my new site & such...but I'm following the same plan of attack and doing the shows on camz, jmeeting and posting new photos on my site every week (except last due to illness! LOL)

Anyway, that's how I did it...I'm sure there are other ways out there, but I just stuck to my guns and put together what I think is a pretty good site... :)
