Are the four most important qualities for some starting today in this business in my humble opinion. I have been taking this REALLY seriously the past month, mostly research and the last couple of weeks slowly starting to work building up my own traffic back into the picture. I'm far from doing fantastic but the most important thing is I am learning.
There is ALOT to learn about this business nowadays. The days are far from gone where a ripe newbie can jump in and make money blindly without pure luck (hitting the lotto type of luck) free bandwidth or not... Things I considered trash and not worthwhile 5 years ago are pure gold now. It is truly amazing how this industry has evolved.
Personally, I see room for ALOT of improvement. Mainly in the paysite and webmaster program area. I'm not going to get into my opinions on what will happen the next couple of years - but changes are coming that will affect the way these are run. The type of changes that happened back in 1999 that resonated ... well are still resonating to this day.
I see plenty of great opportunities in this business now but you have to be very patient and expect to wait alot longer to see rewards now I am realizing and have accepted. I have a long road to get to 1/8th of the position I was in years ago, but I will do it ... I've went off on spats like this over the years, many times.. This is the longest I have stuck with it in 6 years though, and my interest is only growing daily.
Not sure what the point of my post is exactly - But making next to no money I'm psyched daily just by the litle pieces of information I am pickign up.. starting to put the puzzle back together. With the ideas I come up with once I am properly funded, there's no stopping me :)
Most importantly I'm back to being arrogant and self assured regardless of what anyone else thinks of me and my past, which I don't care what anyone else says ... is a very important trait for any successful businessman.
