You guys want to keep on track with what you have already started? Here's a suggestion, takeit as you will...

Make a designated day of the week.. or say posts from 6 hours during that day... 8 hours during that day, etc.. Where you answer any and all questions and explain your experience in the industry so people know where to start asking questions at. This would help draw in the newer webmasters who want to learn, not so much draw them in but get them registering to post in that thread. Once they register they post more... Once they learn more, they share more ..

You get the idea :)

Also having people like Earl Miller do it every blue moon if he has the spare time would be amazing.. Food for thought

Earl will be here more than the amazing blue moon. Like I said get out your 200 dollar camera and think of good questions.

We have other announcements regarding newbies.

I think the first question would be, why am I trying to make a living out of a two hundred buck camera?

What a cheesy way to hide the fact that soon Oprano will sink to the depth where "I will answer all questions for the next ..." threads become common. :whistling

I guess this is the third incarnation I have seen of this board. The first was a bunch of old farts (I mean that figuratively) who constantly talked of retiring, and as far as I can see only one did, but still can't walk away. However, in the day, they were still relevant. Damn internet time is so short, because now they have nothing to contribute....save those who are still actually productive.

The second incarnation..."The Family" Gonzo, Joe, and Nick....well, that fucked up royally and the board nearly crashed. The only traffic was coming from blind links. eg: want teenys? Viagra? click here...voila instant redirect to Oprano. Well that was pretty useless. A total scam by "playas" who had no idea how to run a board or make money out of it. The old farts were losing ground. Lots of bluster, bullshit, but no real useful...well anything. Certainly no real business. It was sold to.....

Gonzo and Joe....with those other guys sneaking up from behind. This was already in the works for some time considering the spam for three or four weeks before the announcement. Well, thank God at least the incompetent spammers bit the dust.

Predictions? Well, as an observer to all of this, my gut tells me this will not fly as a serious resource for experienced web people. Truthfully, I hope I am wrong because I think Gonzo and Joe have their hearts in the right place, but lack the experience to make it happen.
If it becomes an obvious spam factory, it will fail. Given Gonzo's history of non stop spam, then that is probably the future.
AEBN, will wind up owning this place within a year with hired moderators. That is my bottom line prediction. Time will tell.
I kind of hope I am wrong.
