Remeber those old CDs where they would have 500-20,000 images of whatever for $29? Looking for some place that sells that kind of mass-quantity royalty-free photos of people.

Hitting the SEs and can only come up with these super expensive places that want $12-250 a pic. Even at a buck a pic, I need too many for a mainstream project or two.

Hey even if you have yourself some of those old CD collections and are willing to sell them, please email me and let me know! (I bet some of the "oldsters" around here might have some of those around, huh huh?)

Yeah needs to be a bunch of people to get a sorta dating/rate-a/community site thing going faster by being able to dump a bunch of real looking folks in there and make it look busy from the get-go instead of waiting six months for the slow buildup period.

;)

Dravyk, remember Paul and his CD clubs ... I have one from May 01 here pry 3-4,000 pics... pry a couple others. problem is I don't ahve the licensed documentation off hand.

I am sure if I dig enough, I could find something to help you out though.. Also if you wanna toss me a few bucks I can spend a couple hours finding exactly what you are looking for on the web - It's becaome a specialty the last few weeks... finding information for others lol ..

You got my ICQ if you're interested in either ...

Some place like Shutterstock might be ok.

A lot of these places either charge you a yearly or one-time fee for site access and you choose the photos you want to use, or you can buy bulk packages.

What do you need, Dravyk? I have thousands of images left over from my stock photography days, I'd be happy to give you the rights to use em for free :)

Jace and LM, that's more what I'm talking about yeah, the CDs that are cheap (although I see they got smart and went up a bit in price from the old 50,000 for $39 price they're now more like 100 pics for $90.

What do you need, Dravyk? I have thousands of images left over from my stock photography days, I'd be happy to give you the rights to use em for free :) LM, that would be great!! :)

The kinds of pics that can be used in rate-a-sites or dating sites or whatever, people that look like they can be "real folks" and not "a definite model off a disc". The bottom row on this page is a good example of folks that look fairly "believable": http://www.stockphotographyonline.us/cds/pople3/photos2.html

Still a tad "expensive" for what I have in mind though. Definitely need something more on the order of the old "bulk" discs I'm thinking for this specific project.
