All I see is an old guy who has an age challenge and cannot stop posting that he is going out wih a woman half his age. That is all you got? Shall we post a few more personal details? Up to you dude. Ya know Vick. You win. I give up. I am outta here, because you stunk me out. I thought this place had hope, but a true "Opranaut" (is that like a fashion victim) showed me the way. An old guy living in another era. If this is the future of Oprano, then good luck kids. I have to thank you, Vick, you really made me think about this place. If it does remain in its current malaise where folks think guys like you are serious players, then why would I want to post here anyway?
So sayanara, dasvedanaya to Serge (always a worthy opponent and quality poster) and to the rest of you (some of which actually seem to know what the fuck is going on) See ya later bye. I am soon off to South America (first class flight...just to piss a few off that will never in their lives be able to afford that...check the price YVR to EZE) but you can all have fun chatting and hoping to make a few more conversions or move a little traffic. So to Vick the Renaissance man and Dianna Vesta whoever she is, Jace of the glass dildos, Peaches who can't quite afford to retire in her twilight years, Sabby, who is actually a good egg and I am glad we may or may not have settled past grievances, and anyone else I may have missed. All the best and good luck in your future projects and if you ever miss me, just ask and I shall return...not likely...lol.

We both know you're still here and reading, let's see if you have the resolve to keep your word and not post

I almost enjoyed reading this edition of J'Delusional

You will let us know when the lambs stop crying

and it's not the first time I chased you away is it ;-)

Farewell

Last post, and you were right. I did read it. But you have never in the past chased me away, vick. In fact you never chased me away this time. You think one post did that?...lmfao. In fact you made me realize the futility of posting here. But with my last gasp and a bottle of good burgundy at my side, I soldier on in the twilight. An old hippy with a trophy wife is not something to fear, but to kind of pity. Don't you think a Corvette would be much more useful? It certainly is prettier. I have seen the pictures. It will get you much more respect. That is obvious. And you can be buried in it when you tip over. The kid you are married to will be changing your colostemy bags and rocking your porch swing when you could be driving your vette. The pirate site is precious, I must admit. But you ain't keith.

Why Vick. I was in Italy last year. Too expensive and way too many Americans in big lines at duomos. But judging by your history, that is exactly where you will be....so sad. I hate to see old hippies turn out like this. But hey, you can wear the silly hat, wander through Firenze or Roma, or Sienna with the rest of the Americans and when you are standing in that line up with all the sheep, I want you to remember this post. Dude, that is your future. Unless,of course, you can, within a couple of minutes convince me of the error of my opinion...like tell me something really interesting about what you are going to do...like the Davinci code tour or something else really really american......tick tick tick. you threatened to post the names of his family. addresses. enough said. they are not accusations, just reflections on your threatening demeanor in a single post towards Vick.

As for Nick, my friends are my friends, enemies enemies. I have never met Nick, though do enjoy anyone who is witty enough to have consistant banter. discussing anything with you switches from interesting to interminably boorish, if not downright mean, with no apparant stressor.

You really need to do some research. Venice is the most foul dirty city in Italy....the canals stink to high heaven. If you are going to go to venice it needs to be in the winter. And BTW, if you don't have a hotel in venice, they limit the daily visitor quota so you might consider that in your plans. Just a helpful hint.

Tons of American tourists in huge lines with funny hats. Go to France. Way more fun, better food, friendlier people. Or fly to Marseille, rent a car from Hertz with a never lost, drive up north to Geneva, go through the tunnel at Mont Blanc, then go and do all that Italian shit. Go to Italy in September and you will have a much better experience. Much less crowded. And driving is lots of fun in the mountain roads and autostrade.

Well, since it appears I have not been voted off the Island, I will comment Serge.
Everyone has something to teach and learn. From what I have seen, you have no more nor less than most. You have done a good job of marketing yourself as a sage, but, I have seen wise old pundits come and go and most are better at it. So I am not that impressed. Your wit and wisdom would do well in Reader's Digest, but would not fill a chapter. Your success in business was due to a great extent to a bubble in the great capitalist market that has come and gone and if you were starting today, it would be me advising you on the path to success. I am impressed that you managed to keep your capital unlike (those whose names shall not be spoken because they had monkeys crawling all over their back but we all know who "they" are) That is just the way it is. As for your total cock obsession, that is your little minorah to bear. But if it makes you happy, it is a minor issue.
I am shocked that the tribe didn't vote me off. I must be losing my touch.

[QUOTE=Vick]2007

Its a bit of joke, actually. There are tons of tours each consisting of 50 or more tourists. The tour guide usually carries an umbrella that they raise for all of their flock to follow. The flock wear hats, badges, or some such identifying marking so the tour guide doesn't lose them. There are lots of headcounts along the way. There are, however, much better ways to see stuff.
You can do it on your own and most interesting sites have little recorders that you can rent for cheap. They guide you along and at different points, they tell you the history of what you are looking at. Combined with eavesdropping on the tours, you can get a very satisfying tour, at your own pace...you know stop for coffee, take a leak, nod off for a bit, or whatever. If there is something really special you want to see and do, budget a few bucks more and get a personal registered guide. Often they are also drivers and that takes care of transport problems. If you are around Sienna and Firenze, there are a ton of Frattoria (sp) wineries where you can stay. The food is usually good and they are in little villages usually twenty or so minutes from major centres. A great way to go. Personally, I think the brochure tours are not necessarily the best way to go.
But you won't believe the herds of Americans in Firenze and Sieanna. I have been to Rome and the Vatican a few times and last time I wanted to take my wife down south, but we bailed and went back to Monte Carlo, the Cote D'azure, and Provence.

I disagree, Serge is one of the luckiest of men, very happy doing what he enjoys whenever he feels like it

I do not contribute Serge's success to luck.

However I will say this.

1.) beautiful home
2.) beautiful woman that loves him
3.) Very knowledgeble and of great character ( a pleasure to be around)
4.) ability to enjoy life

how else does one measure success today ?

Experience?
Those other qualities are a good finish but contribute very little without all the other stuff that is possible.

you are so right , experience is a big one .

Serge, please tell me about some Russian living experience.
or maybe some immigrating to a new land with nothing experience
or pinoeering a new business and rising to the top experience.

Rhetorical, I am interested in hearing your experioence too.

You will have had to read previous posts. Every time someone asks this I get attacked for being a poser and a liar. Peaches could probably tell you the story if you ask, but she never believes it anyway. Immigrating from Russia is no big deal. Immigrating to a new land is no big deal. I am an immigrant kid myself. You will have to enlighten me on the pioneering new business. I blinked and missed that.

( your place was much better though) ;)
