Had a great time at Lambeau Field today watching the Packers beat the Seattle Seahawks. The crowd was in the game the whole time and erupted into chants of "One More Year!" quite often and gave very loud standing O's and the beginning and end of the game for him. The atmosphere of the game and his reactions during the chants and such lead me to believe that he is likely to retire. Give him a decent O-line again and get Javoin Walker and a decent running back and he's back to his old self. Either way I am happy to have been able to watch the one of, if not the greatest, QB's of all time for so many years.

Completely agree. I tried to tune into Green Bay games every week even though I am a Diehard Skins fan just to see Favre play. Truly one of the all time greats. He always looked like he was just having so much fun playing. Ever since his father died, he's lacked that I think. I didn't think it would be long before retirement after his father passed away.

its hard explaining 28 interceptions. i think its time to retire. he's definitely great, but he lost some of his touch, and having a horrible team surrounding him doesn't help the cause.

should he go to a team and second string ?

I don't think he shouldn't go 2nd string. It do nothing but start a quarterback controversy for any team that would sign him.

The party is over, the fat lady has sung. Time to hang it up after one mediocre season, instead of trying to stick around and tarnishing his record and reputation.

what about to a team with like say eli manning at 1st string. wouldn't you want Brett teaching him the saavy and experience he could offer, and know that he is clearly the 2nd string guy, brought in to help coach but could go in for a few place .

I like the old addage
" I aint as good as I once was, BUT I am as goood ONCE as I ever was ! "

cant see it happening.. hes too connected with greenbay to be on any other team. unless a great team offered him a starting role, its not worth it - and all the great teams are great because they have proven quarterbacks.

the show is over for him which is unfortunate. he definitely has a few years left, and he's as good as anyone they will find, but hes too old to go through a re-building period and come back on top. his time will be done before they are good again, so whats the point...

should he go to a team and second string ?

Not a chance in hell of that happening. Ask most NFL personnell types and they will tell you that he's still cpabale of being one of the top 5 QB's in the leauge.

We have a high draft pick and a whole bunch of cap room this off season. We could easily turn it around and be a playoff team yet again next year. And Favre has already said he would never play for another team. Not even a consideration.

I'm very mixed. He's been my favorite non-Cowboy QB. I don't want to see him go.

On the other hand, I don't want to see him stay to the point that there is no longer dignity in it.
