A fucking week and a half with no connection.
A week and a half of hearing "Technicians are working on it."
A week and a half of "It should be fixed in 24-48 hours"
A week and a half of calling Sprint several times daily to find out the latest update on the outage.

This has been the most frustrating and aggravating week and a half I've ever spent.

It's so good to be back in touch.

We were offered 20 free hours of dial-up as compensation.

I do hope that you know that I was joking, I had to do a "dial-up" in October when for some reason my ultra-expensive dsl died... it's like pulling teeth... but slower and with rusty tools :(

My ultra-expensive dsl still has it's farts but they're only an hour or so long, so I go and play with my son - I'm kinda hoping BT doesn't fix them... but don't tell anyone :D

Our machines were built for broadband only. We dont even have dial up modems in them. And even if we did have modems, can you see Defiant downloading and uploading video files on dial up?

That was the first problem. Then their whole network in this area went down.

Thanks Chris. It sure does. Though I did catch up on a bunch of reading.

Welcome back Red!

Gosh, if my broadband company ever tried to offer me dial up "free" as compensation I think they'd soon regret it, it wouldn't take very long at all for me to get absolutely livid at the slow rate it was moving & then I'd be back on that phone yelling and hollering more than ever at them to fix it and FAST!

Btw I hope they gave you a credit!

They gave me a credit for one month of service which is no compensation for Defiant's lost business during the down time. The next compensation I will demand is to not be charged the cancellation fee when I cancel for cable.
