We talk about television a lot here...especially television that I don't happen to watch. Every once in a while there are years, though, when I have shows I watch regularly.

I found the Nielson ratings. I've never understood them, but I found them.

I discovered I watch a lot of the biggies. They're in blue.

2. (8) "NCIS," CBS, 17.1 million viewers.

3. (13) "CSI: NY," CBS, 16.5 million viewers.

4. (3) "Without a Trace," CBS, 15.3 million viewers.

5. (18) "Criminal Minds," CBS, 15.2 million viewers.

6. (11) "Cold Case," CBS, 15.2 million viewers.

7. (20) "House," Fox, 14.6 million viewers.

8. (13) "Two And a Half Men," CBS, 14.3 million viewers.

9. (33) "CBS Sunday Movie: The Christmas Blessing," CBS, 13.8 million viewers.

10. (4) "CSI: Miami," CBS, 13.8 million viewers.

11. (6) "NFL Monday Night Football: New Orleans at Atlanta," ABC, 13.6 million viewers.

12. (12) "60 Minutes," CBS, 12.9 million viewers.

13. (30) "The Apprentice 4," NBC, 12.8 million viewers.

14. (28) "Numb3rs," CBS, 12 million viewers.

15. (X) "Fox NFL Post Game," Fox, 11.9 million viewers.

16. (36) "The Amazing Race 8," CBS, 11.5 million viewers.

17. (30) "Close to Home," CBS, 11.3 million viewers.

18. (18) "NFL Monday Showcase," ABC, 11.3 million viewers.

19. (10) "Law & Order: SVU," NBC, 11.2 million viewers.
20. (30) "Ghost Whisperer," CBS, 10.9 million viewers.

Just a piece of trivia. With a few exceptions, I watch shows where there's gunfire.

I proudly stand a rebel ... aside from a football game, I watch none of them, and have not laid eyes on the bulk of them.

I watch CSI Miami, NY and Without a Trace.. although the last episode of Without a Trace was damn odd. It was a dream episode, missed the first 5 minutes so didn't know, and was completely lost until the end when he woke up..

Spanish telly on the whole is crap.. alot of 5 hour gossiping programmes, pop idol, big brother cak.. and add breaks so long you forget what you're watching.

I mainly watch BBC and Eurosport, alot of K1 and sometimes poker, on in the background whilst reading.

I used to watch without a trace untill I watched 2 episodes around a year ago where they got all into their personal life's and shit.. That black girl was having open heart surgery etc..

It was boring then. I liked it when it was pure detective, they worked on the time lines, etc... When they started getting into their personal live's yadda yadda - Click ... Never watched it since.

Out of that top 20 list I watch...

NCIS- love the show and I am really enjoying the new character Zeeva (sp)
CSI NY- I really enjoy Gary Sinise though the supporting cast is only so so
Criminal Minds- damn good new show from CBS
House- Hugh Laurie, as Dr. House, is one of the three best characters on tv along with Alan Shore and Deeny Crane! My father, who is a doctor, LOVES the show and usually has the correct diagnoses well before the end of the show. :>))
CSI: Miami- Carusso annoys the shit out of me but the supporting cast is great.
Numbers- a truly original take on the crime drama is what makes this show great.
Ghost Whisperer- I can stick through sappy stuff to watch Jennifer Love Hewitt for an hour each weelk!! ;)

Btw - here's the seasons ratings which includes some shows not on your list Morgan, which is missing some top shows because of the holidays.

Once you look at the seasons ratings I have to add

Lost- extremely compelling sahow that makes you think each week as you trry and put the pieces together to see where you think the shows producers are going.

Desperate Housewives- The gals on Wisteria Lane always are good for an hour of fun tv.

Grey's Anatomy- Meredith grey is a compelling character to be sure but it is the entire cast here that makes this show so great Sandra Oh's character should get her an award. Also, I keep turning in hoping something good happens to Geaorge. Even when he does have something good happen to him, like getting laid, he gets syphallis from it!! ;)

Survivor- I think everybody here knows I enjoyed Survivor. :whistling

Commander In Chief- I've always enjoyed Geena Davis and this time is no different. Donald Sutherland is magnificent as well.

Now, there are other great show not in the top 20 worth checking out as well such as...

Prison Break- While it's not the most realistic show it certainly is a compelling story that hooks you and doesn't let go.

Surface- Great new Sci-fi show that keeps me coming back for more each week.

Invasion- another great Sci-fi show on prime time tv that is worth weatching each week.

Bones- series based on a real life forensic anthropoligist that pits an FBI agent with a bunch of "squints" (think eggheads). I think the leading lady on the show is hot and her assisant quite hot as well.

Boston Legal- As stated above is House two great characters that make me laugh my ass off every week. Denny Crane!

E-Ring - Pentagon drama with Benjamin Bratt and Dennis Hopper. Goo\d stories wiuth a damn good cast.

As you can see my TIVo gets a ton of work. :)
