Program owners - this is why i do use your program or not

Simplicity.

I want to find my linking code with 10 seconds.
I want to download promo content with 10 seconds.
etc.

Adult elite for example has a great setup. Point and click and with 2, max 3 clicks you have everything you need.

Why am i not using a program like ARS for instance? I have no CLUE whats going in their webmaster area. I want to promote them. Not learn how to use them first.

This poster actually has been an affiliate, and has traffic, works his ass off. It's the others that read this and go, oh yeah, give me everything, i don't need to work.

Anthony...I require clarification, please.

The poster has said "I don't want to do the necessary work to find out how to best maximize your marketing supplies," correct?

Or is my interpretation overly harsh?

I do understand the bit at the bottom, where you added that *others* now think it's all right to say "give me everything and give it to me now." (I think.)

I prefer a site that is easily navigable, of course...but I've yet to run into any kind of a site that I couldn't figure out how to use if I stared at it for a minute or two. Some of my sponsors are easier to use than others. Some require a bit of clicking around to determine what words they used to name what.

However, I'm married to a man who spends a major portion of his workday writing "now, if you had just READ the FIRST TWO E-MAILS I sent to you regarding this, you wouldn't have CRASHED the database" so I have absolutely no complaints about the occasional extra effort that might be required in my workday.

Something else that webmasters today need to understand is that you might have to pay for something out of your own pocket once in awhile.

Yes, you should pay for your own hosting.
Yes, you might have to pay to use a script.
Yes, you might even have to pay for a bit of content eventually.

How much you think those poor webmasters are making burning fries anyhow, you cruel bastard?

One thing is for sure. There are many different kinds of affiliates.
I know many who won't send a single click to revshare. I know others who drive Beemers from revshare alone.

But too many of them are extremely lazy, to be sure.

Yep, I contributed my thanks for using AE as an example of simple design of course. But also mentioned that the others are pretty easy.
Best to get bulk links, learn the format, and you should be all set.

Things are somewhat on their head from 5 years ago even. I explain to affiliates pretty regularly that when I started, there was no such thing as "free content", and "free hosts" loaded the headers AND footers with way better pulling ads than you or I could do. BW was NOT cheap and on and on and on..
But still, I'll get the rare affiliate who is angry that his sales from a free template we provide, using free content we provide, on our free hosting, did not make him as much as it "should have" with his PAID spot on the hun!

On its head I tell you. And I'm a n00b in this thread, haha.

It's crazy Tom, for sure! LOL

You might be the noob in this thread, but you have just nailed it on the head!

I used to love my headers on our freehosts. Miss those days. :(

Oddly enough, since we pulled free content (other than freehosted galleries) from our webmaster area, sales haven't really suffered on a noticeable level.

Our biggest affiliates are those who actually go out, buy their own content, their own paid spots and their own hosting or TGP owners using the freehosted galleries.

I am humbled Anthony.....

I have noticed a few threads on this, and am currently (albeit slowly) rebuilding my network. I completely nuked it for 2257. (had all the licenses, but it would have been impossible to catalogue all the photos)
The daunting task even humbled me....my problem was, to "maximize" the hits, a gallery consisted of photos from multiple shoots, and all the pics were renamed for SE optimization. So, 1 gallery on a site could have originated from 5 different discs, with 4 pics from each one for example.

NatNet even copied the whole server for me before we nuked it...I have found PinkBits ads, SergeCash Knight Ads, even 2 IEG ads.

My point is, .....

....

hmmm, i don't know what my point is
LOL

heheheheh banners....

I made a big deal about some of our freehosts being "bannerfree" cause "Hey , I own Netpond and I'm here to help newbies" and just skimmed off any traffic from...aol...yahoo...and made "soup" with it :)

Nowadays that is legal!!!

Takes all the fun out of it....

That show is the funniest show on TV. Both Shatner anbd Spader are too damn funny. Two of the three best characters on tv along with Hugh Laurie who plays Dr. House on Fox. :okthumb:

MikeFold
12-16-2005, 05:04 PM
spader is really good in that show....

shatner is off the wall..flashes of brilliance

back on topic...soon some sponsors will have an in-house design team that will do "custom" galleries for "webmasters"...including warning pages, blog pages and free seo submission......

at least they call themselves what they are sometimes.....
a webmaster is not a gallery submitter

Hi Mike AI...good to see you

I've been reading your posts Ryan...you haven't changed much
hehehe

Have not grabbed a Z06 yet....still might
(got a damn Avalanche to do urban hillbilly work)

still have my y2k vett...got about 8K miles on it though ))o;

cfgold is still kicking (but i am not taking any new affiliates due to fraud)
...as is maxcash (karas is still my best overall converter)
I have been (gasp) experimenting with programs with potent typein traffic..
amazing how bad some suck, and yet you see them all the time being touted on various boards.

With 8,000 miles on it the resale value should be high as hell still - Just don't bring it to the dealer as a trade in if you upgrade, will cost you 3-4K easy ...

Mike - 2006 is a year for change... :)

Then again, I think so were '02, '03, '04, and '05 - Hmmmm

Glad to hear you are doing well and good to see you posting, you should stop by more often...
