Not sure if you are still interested, but I finally got one of
our detectives and FOP president to setup a paypal acct.

Still not much information on the event other than it's a
charity event designed to help underprivileged kids shopping
for Christmas. There is a little more information about it on
one of the local radio station's website www.kkbs.com

Detective Bauer is the President of the F.O.P. and
his badge number is 144. Pay Pal acct info is gypd144@yahoo.com

Sorry it took so long to get the information.

Guys, really!

I don't think I could ever be associated with a better group
of people than Opranauts. I am very honored and pleased
to be in the company of such class.

If you could email me your address, I will send you a reciept
for your records.

We truely appreciate your kind heartedness and wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas.

Thanks, Kirk. I sent a PayPal. :)

I hadn't done any of the traditional "good deed doin'" that we usually do and it was nice to do a little something. Thank you for the opportunity. :)

voodooman...Junior Seau (San Diego native and former Charger) does a "Shop With a Jock" thing every year. Like most of the ones like this I've seen, when his was on the news, I was so taken with the kids who spent the majority of their money on *other* people. They care more about their family getting presents than they do about getting things themselves. It's both extremely touching and somewhat heartbreaking at the same time.

It's especially wonderful for the police to do this. It helps forge a link in the child's mind between "cops" and "good guys." :)
