Anyone listen to a song and remember someone by it?

Just listening to some old songs, and smiling through some of them.

Anyone else?

Yes. Every single time I hear "I Think We're Alone Now" I'm instantly transported back in time to a specific moment. A wonderful moment that makes me smile. :)

For me, I have songs associated to books, because when I read a book I had a tape/cd on repeat...

also,

I am taller than you are shorter than I am.

James Taylor's "Something In The Way She Moves"

REM's "Shiny Happy People" and "Losing My Religion"

George Benson's "On Broadway"

On a different but related note every time I'm in my car on the highway and the song "Flirtin With Disaster" from Molly Hatchet comes on I invariably look down at my speedometer during the song to find I am all of s sudden going over 90+ MPH. :)

TE, you're the worse! You'd rather like a James Taylor version of anything that was done by the Beatles?? And you mention Gordon Lightfoot??

I bet you have the Best of Bread and The Carpenter's albums too. http://oprano.com/msgboard/images/smilies/dry.gif

James Taylor is an incredible singer and so is Gordon Lightfoot and no I don't have albums from TherCarpenters or Bread. I do, however, have John Denver albums that I greatly enjoy listening to!! :)

As well as Cat Stevens, Jim Croce, The Grateful Dead, The Eagles, U2, and a whole messload of other stuff! :)

Ok, TE .... 10% of your music will not send people running from your house screaming with blood dripping out of their ears. http://oprano.com/msgboard/images/smilies/wink.gif

Oh, and yes I do like the Beatles... just not nearly as much as the aforementioned band. And Elvis crushes the Beatles anyways! They don't call him "The King" for nothing. :okthumb:
