I will be glued to the set at 1pm as the Colts face what is maybe their biggest test of the season in Jacksonville.

I think they can do it. :okthumb:

What is this "NFL" that you speak of, is it anything like extreme makeover :scratchin

Only during those pesky "rebuilding years." ;)

GO COLTS! :clapping:

The Eagles suck this season so I declared the football season having officially ended four weeks ago as far as I'm concerned. Andy Reid better get his shit together soon or take a hike.

Drav, I don't mind if you cheer for Indianapolis for the remainder of the season. :waving:

*handing Dravyk a brown paper bag to breathe in and out of*

I feel your pain, Dravyk. I'm a Charger's fan, which means I know a whole LOT about..."is no season." :(

This weekend...GO CHARGERS!!! and GO COLTS!!! :cheer:

Next weekend...there's a problem. Luckily, Chris is too much of a gentleman to grind it in if his team wins...and I'll be in too much shock to say much if my team wins.

Indianapolis sucks, always have, always will

There is not much in this world that I would enjoy better than seeing the Dolts make it to the Super Bowl .....

.....and then seeing Manning and the Dolts get crushed with Manning being intercepted at least 4 times and shedding tears on TV in front of millions

If the Buccaneers beat Carolina, they'll not only make the playoffs, they'll make another run at the super bowl.

If you're scoring at home, I am a diehard Bucs fan!!

Vick, honey, stop holding in your emotions. It's very bad for your health. Tell us how you really feel, please. :)

I *love* "diehard" fans, as I am one myself. I'm a Chargers fan, win, lose, tie, whatever. The only season I didn't wear my collection of Chargers t-shirts out in public was the year they went to the Super Bowl, when all the "fair weather" fans were wearing them. That rather pissed me off. I wanted to stop people on the street and say "where the hell were you LAST year when they were losing????"

Chris...I'm very excited, too. It's going to be great seeing how my guys measure up against an undefeated team.
We play Miami today. We're 8-4 and they're 5-7, which I know doesn't mean much because I believe in the "any given Sunday" rule of football.

Hmmm... your predictions do! :waving:

It's ok, I've been reminded via icq... you guys are talking about the ass slapping, man kissing, full body armour wearing - rugby knock off... I pray one day you yanks become less feminine and less PC... it's beginning to fuck with my day

what the fuck...
you talk about gay

what about a group hug everytime 1 fucking goal (probably the only fucking one in the game) is scored.

and donīt even talk about the frustrated striper dance (fifa had to prohibit taking off you shirt)

and what about crying like a fucking baby because of a missed shot to a huge ass frame with a net with a only 1 fukcking guy jumping

and what about a whole bunch of men jumping on top of each other because of that 1 goal well maybe 2.

but ok i will let you enjoy it and not fuck your day :)

sports and politics = same crap only sports is more fun and more people can jump in and babble something

And they run around in these short baggy pants and are constantly doing some kind upskirt dick thing to each other. Yeah, that's not gay at all. hehehehe

Vick is entitled to hate the Colts.

Nearly ten years after the Rams moved into St. Louis, and still occassionally the mere mention of the name of the owner of the football Cardinals (Bill Cocksucking Motherfucking Asshole of the Galaxy Bidwell) can turn me into a raging maniac.

I stopped being a fan of professional basketball not only because the Blues came to town, but because Atlanta stole my favorite fucking team. That was in 1968 - just one more bit of proof that Sherman should have been given more matches.

I would still love to see NFL players play one half of what the rest of the world calls football. 90% of them wouldn't make it to the 20 minute mark - those that didn't die in the first ten minutes of uninterrupted play.

I would equally love to see soccer players experience one half of what we Americans call football. 90% of them would not last beyond the first half - those that got back up after the first couple of times they got hit.

The irritable Brit does have a point with this one. He's talking about rugby, not soccer. Rugby is like football only with no padding. I think you have to be both drunk and insane to play it.

The only rugby player I ever knew personally WAS both drunk and insane. And the owner of many, many broken bones.

Ah well... it happens. Team franchises move all the time in pro sports. Usually they're lame duck teams that move on to bigger and better things.

Up north here we've lost the Quebec Nordiques, the Winnipeg Jets, Montreal Expos, Vancouver Grizzlies...

I even managed to whip up a small amount of compassion when the hated Oakland Raiders became the "LA Raiders" for a while. (Small amount.) Then, they moved back to where they belonged.

Ask somebody in Brooklyn how they feel about moving the Dodgers...if you've got the time to sit and listen to the rant....

Point!

Thank you, selena! And points back atcha! I was so hoping somebody would get and appreciate that line! :)

*sigh*
My Chargers lost to Miami yesterday, 23-21. :(
And thus ends the winning streak they were on....
Not a good thing for going into next week's game against the Colts. :(
