Come on! Fess up!

What would you really like -- be realistic now -- for someone to get you for Christmas? http://oprano.com/msgboard/images/smilies/g01.gif

(And will/would you buy it for yourself if no one gets it for you?)

I am not going to treat myself this year as there is nothing I want nor need, but will get my family some sweet presents as it will be my last here hopefully.

Ugh, at this point there isn't anything that I can think of that anyone could buy me that I would either want, or that I would buy for myself.

I'm boycotting the commercial Christmas.

Digital Camera
Lawnmower
BBQ

And nope I won't be getting any of them for myself...spent the Christmas budget on the kids. And since Jordan put a cricket ball thru my bedroom window yesterday there is definitely none spare left over now!

Children and/or cricket balls should be outlawed! :p

In all honesty , we don't do the gift thing ,( - we never did until fucking Bishop went out and bought everyone really expensive gifts one year so me and Anthony had to rush out to the mall , the BASTARD!!!!! - )

Though when Ant lived up here he spoiled the kids viciously. Down to one year buying them there own Xmass tree. LOL

I'm not buying any of my friends or distant relatives gifts this Xmass , cause otherwise it really does get ridiculous.

that said , I have bought my wife and kids some sweet shit ..lol...for example one of my wife's stocking stuffers is perfume from...

http://www.clive.com/perfume.htm

Insanel;y expensive lol and probably smells like shit lol

I LOVE buying stuff for her and the kids....love it! :)

My wife unlike many women I've known does not really like to pamper and buy stupid stuff for herself , plus she never complains , and puts up with my shit , so I tend to go nuts when it comes to buying her presents. :)

What I wanted most for Christmas was to light up my children, both biological, in-law and "acquired through various means." :) I'm only waiting for a few things that I've ordered...which, if they don't arrive soon I'll have to *really* fork over the shipping costs.

I'm getting what I wanted for myself, from my darling albeit shell-shocked husband. After weeks and weeks of "I actually can't think of anything I want for Christmas," this bracelet appeared.... :yowsa:

Even the pets are getting presents, which they always do. Dingo is getting a sweater and a sweatshirt and a box of "Greenies." The cats are getting drugs. :) (Catnip items, for those that just went "huh?")

The nice young man from the Post Office just picked up my first shipment of Christmas parcels, so the walls of my living room now look farther apart.

Hey, Dravyk! How 'bout you answer your own question and tell us what *you* want for Christmas? :waving:

Ok, Nick is a very bad, but very sweet, boy.

I just got an EPP transfer which will buy me a very nice digital camera.

Best Xmas present I have gotten in a very very long time.

I'm touched, and crying, and overwhelmed.

But I will accept his gift with great joy, and promise to buy the cam, and post tit pics, within 48 hours. (Good thing the kids are with their dad this weekend so I can experiment...LOL).

Nick, thank you...that is so very sweet.

I feel I should say more to express my joy, but i'm shaking and typing is tricky.

Thank you thank you thank you. :)

I want all the disadvantaged children in the world to have the gift that they want.

Why should I want something when there are so many people that cannot have a good Christmas due to bad circumstances. I'm poor but at least I'm happy and don't really need anything other than a woman.

With that said, Our F.O.P. at the Police Dept. has a program that many cities do called Shop with a Cop for Christmas.
We do fund raisers throughout the year and get donations to help disadvantaged children in our city have a better Xmas. On a set date which
is Dec 17th, we take the children picked out by the Dept of Social Services to various stores and buy them all coats, shoes and a gift of their choice.

Ok I couldn't wait any longer...and went shopping (and missed DrGuile's post...unfortunately).

I got a Konica Minolta...5mp, 3x optical zoom...takes video clips. I do want to be able to print to paper, so despite not having more zoom, I'm pretty happy with the 5mp.

By batting my eyelashes at the salesman, I managed to get thrown in a 256mb memory card, carry case, and a battery charger which will charge 4 batteries in 1.5 hours, and can be plugged into the car.

I am one excited girl right now...tho I haven't quite figured out how to use it yet (including the bit about getting the pics from camera to puter).

I'll play over the next day and by the time the kids go to their dad's tomorrow night, I should be able to produce the promised pics. :)

Nick...thank you! :)

Newton and Trev,

I was just looking on the departments website and it has nothing about Shop with a cop on there, as its a Union or F.O.P. (Fraternal Order of Police) function.

I'm not aware that we have a pay pal acct setup, Im on duty right now and will get with my Sgt. and ask him since he is the President of our Chapter.

I appreciate your interest and will get back to you when I get off work at 7am.

Thanks guys! Oh and thanks for wishing me well on finding a mate too, but I don't think Santa works in that department. haha :)

Our FOP has no paypal, matter of fact, only one other person has ever even heard of it, hahah no surprise to me. There is a website for our pd which
is http://police.guymonok.org/ but our FOP has no page on it (I did not do the site either, yes it sucks).

I talked with my Sgt about setting up a paypal for such an instance and he said that would be ok so we will get one setup.

Thanks again! :okthumb: I will get all the literature from our Secratary about Shop with a Cop and I will post the info tomorrow.
