Hell, the Cup doesn't even care ... that's why it's Grey.

For the assonance in the teams name, if nothing else. :)

Well the CFL has a lengthy history, as old as (or older) than that of American Football, but here's a sport where the monetary division is as acute as it can be.

Truth is that the majority of CFL players are Americans. Many of which have been drafted by NFL teams. Some players have gone back and forth from the NFL to the CFL and back again.

Doug Flutie is a good example of this.

But it's a different game too. The distances are different, and in the CFL, the offence only gets 3 downs (versus 4 in the NFL).

I truly enjoyed Doug Flutie's time with the Chargers. :)

I truly enjoyed Doug Flutie's time with the Chargers. :)He's in New England presently. His twilight years.

If you look at his career stats (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/443/career) you'll notice a gap in the 1990's where he went back to the CFL for awhile.

Yes, I know he's in New England. I grieved. I had so expected to see him on the sidelines in San Diego again and tossed out when we needed him. I enjoyed so much watching that little guy play. (And it wasn't just because he's gorgeous and old enough for me to have the hots over without creeping myself out. I'm pretty selective about my "young stuff," as Dom, Trev and Newton will attest.)

He was just flat out fun to watch. He also had that magic something that I so adore: he loves the game. He's always said that he'd keep playing as long as his knees held out. He knew that without the ability to scramble, he was toast.

I remember watching his first (or first in one incarnation) NFL game, when the "you've got to be kidding with this midget!" turned into "holy shit, the midget can play football!" Massively cool. :okthumb:
