Spent a good amount of the day gathering leaves (dump is only open on Saturday so tomorrow a good amount of the day will be spent hauling leaves)

Then tried to get some work done and just couldn't get my head around a database I am trying to create. So I switched to check out problems in a spider for someone and still can't get it all wired out to work proper.

So, other than having piles of leaves instead of them scattered all over the yard, a very unproductive day :(

Couldn't even find anything newsworthy to post about.

Oh well, this too shall pass.....

Days like this happen, sarettah. Keep your chin up, think good thoughts, and if that doesn't work I highly recommend brown liquor. :)

Oh well, another day, another 4 fucking truck loads of leaves to the dump.

Well, at least the front yard is done now

No way jose....

I may bitch about the leaves all fall but the shade and privacy that the trees give me all summer are well worth making you guys listen to me bitch :yowsa:

That's ok, I'll just put you on ignore (again) until all the leaves have fallen ;)

You'll have to do it all over again in the next 2 days. Have fun :) :)

TREE MURDERER! :hmm:

Sarettah...back in Louisville, our house had a huge yard and a *lot* of leaves. We had two gorgeous maple trees in our front yard that did the color thing, than dropped a ton of leaves on the yard. My husband did the rake thing, including the intensely cool "Daddy rakes leaves into a huge pile, kids jump into the pile, Daddy rakes the leaves up again...everybody has cocoa." Daddy used to have a little libation with his cocoa and mutter under his breath, but he loved those trees. Shade, privacy, and just the sheer beauty of them. I've always said "if it doesn't have a tree it's not a fit house to live in."

We have some leaves in our yard now, but for the most part, the pepper trees, palm trees and yucca are unchanged. The leaves will be left there unless my husband is attacked with the desire to rake...which is unlikely.

The jade plant is in bloom. If you close one eye, tilt your head and squint, you can almost convince yourself there's snow on it. Almost.

Call me what you will, I'm one of these people that if "something" is creating work for me that I really don't need to do - I remove the "something". :)
