Went to the dentist today to get Xrays done for my wisdom teeth

I've never used anestheisia for any trips to the dentist. The idea of a needle getting stuck in my gums bothers me far more than drilling my teeth does so I never bother with it.

I had my bottom left wisdom tooth taken out 5 years ago.. They said that I shoudl get the rest done.. I hate dentist though so I didn't do it.. End result?

I know have teeth that are crooked as hell from the wisdom teeth pushing inwards from all directions on the tom and from the other side on the bottom.

I have actual 'stress cracks' in my teeth... The toth next to my wisdom tooth busted open about 4 months ago.. It hurts every once in a while - mainly right around the time I brush my teeth every day.. I am sure byu the time I get in I will have to get a root canal and all kinds of other shit done.

Shots don't bother me... at all... A doctor can take all the blood they want, give me all the immunizations.. you name it.. But Dentist shots I HATE. It isn't so much they are painful per say ... It's a bitch keeping your mouth open that long and just feels weird as shit - I HATE dentist with a passion.. Would rather go see a proctologist!

Weird thing is Missy can't stand any shots of any sort... She literally freaks. I have to go with her and hold her and, she trembles big time, turns white, and her lips even turn purple - no joke.. She even cried once at the gyno's during a visit, lol. Her pregnancy sucked for her cause they had to take blood so often, I almost ended up with 20-30 broken wrists hahaha.

On the other hand, she calls me a pussy when I tell her I hate going to the dentist... It doesn't bother her at all..

Technick, I'm on your side with the pain/fear thing at the dentist (tho mine stems from dentist/butcher who fixed my broken front teeth as a child).

I had to have a deep cleaning done 2 weeks ago, plus 2 miniscule fillings. After several failed attempts, it was finally decided the only way it could be done without me actually leaving in tears part way through was to put me under...a general anaesthetic. :)

Next time, cos it won't be so bad...won't be 20 yrs since the last one...we're going to try lots of needles...and valium. :)
