I was writing one up on the correlation of artisticness and being a liberal, but I just didn't think I captured it in the best way, so I didn't post it.

What did YOU not post?

I've written many posts and not posted them. Various posts, not posted for various reasons...

sometimes just writing things up is a help. like talking to the mirror, but you can still tell yourself you aren't crazy this way.

And remember... we are NOT your therapist... if you really need one I am willing to donate...

I tell this to my husband all the time when I feel he has a good rant coming on...

Grogan I love you but...

60 PRIVATE minutes:
$251.59

Is my cam chat price... I think that is LOW for psychiatric fees... although I for sure feel that is what I am MOST of the time...

MY personal therapist charges me alot more.

Actually I had a "real world" rant the other day...

I freaked right out and said I am not going to make a single penny for ANYONE until my floors, house, kids, life, happiness... is in ORDER... I refuse to live in chaos!

Yes, I have authored many posts to which opted NOT to post and if I wanted anyone to see them I would have posted them.

I've closed down many of my online journals, because I would give out the link, and then later on down the road want to post something that I didn't want someone else to see, so I just stopped posting.

I've done that, written out heartfelt long thought out emails, posts, hell im's even and not sent them. Same with letters, sometimes just getting the words out is enough.

Aggravating though is on some message boards you finish a long post and never get to submit it. Few years ago that was a constant, computer would crash, you'd get bumped off line...lol used to piss me of to no end

What did YOU not post? More important for me, the why than the what.

Basically it's either because I am about to launch and attack on someone so nuclear, that it's overkill and either a) I decide it's too much and will only end up bouncing back and harming me or b) I decide the person is such a loser or ass, that it's just not worth it. (For some reason this happens more at The Zoo than it does here. hehe)

The other major time, reason, thing, is when I go into great detail about something, realize I've just gotten way too caught up, written way too much, and that it's just ridiculous. That even though I can't get back the minutes wasted in writing all of "that", that just isn't worth posting. Or that I can say it (on occasion, yes) in much fewer words. (This post here not being a good example of that!) http://oprano.com/msgboard/images/smilies/smile.gif

I realize that considering the voluminous amount of material to which I have subjected the adult 'net, it's difficult to imagine me ever having pulled a post, but I have. Many things at many times for many reasons.

I've never regretted *not* saying something. I have, however, had profound regrets about things I've said. (I've even gone back the next day and pulled my own posts when I've worried over whether something I said as a joke was too much.)

Writing is cathartic. I also have a common writer's problem: falling in love with the process itself. Letting the words flow, playing with them, using every poetic device of which one can think...until suddenly drawing up and muttering "what was my original point?" (When you hit "what was my original point?" you know you've gone on way past "too long.")

Periodically I empty out the "draft" folder of my email and delete all the emails I'm profoundly glad I didn't send.

I often write something and then I think "no, this might offend someone" and then I delete it...

Only very, very rarely.

Most times I just subdue the notion to tell someone what a true fucking fucktard dimwit whorish slimebag I think they are before I even touch the keyboard.

Part of that out of respect for JaYMan Cash. As long as I'm representing them, I feel that my posts are a reflection upon them. Thus, I do not tell everyone to get fucked that I would like to.

The other part of that is that words on a message board/chat room/im system are just that...words. The annoying person is only annoying if I allows them to be. It's much easier to just ignore their existance than be irritated by it.
