Too often here! It's now 3 times already this week (including lunch) I just don't feel like cooking lately...Are you a good cook? Do you like to cook?

I love to cook and prefer home cooking to eating out. Just cooked a lovely roast dinner with chicken breasts wrapped in bacon, rosemary and garlic potatoes and some excellent asparagus ..

between 2 and 7 Id say... I enjoy cooking, and I enjoy saving money... but sometimes, my laziness just gets the better of me...

plus Friday's lunch is always out with everyone at the office, and usually, friday night or saturday night Ill eat out with friends. (that's why I said a minimum of two...)

But tonight, and I know you guys will love the irony, Im making French Roast ;)

Still pissy I messed up the meatballs...

The foccota and parmesan cheese is VITAL to the meatball mix...what a moron!

I made them again a couple of days ago , correctly , they were delicious. :)

Pretty much non-stop. I too love to cook, but it can be a bit of a waste cooking for just myself or a girl. Lots of ingrediants that will go to waste and lots of time spent for just me and one other person. I do thanksgiving or christmas for the whole family every year and enjoy it a great deal.

There's just sooo many fantastic places that I can go to eat around here, and I can have a service pick up food from anywhere I want if they don't deliver. Just too tempting to open my wallet up for some really great food. I eat dinner out or caried out/delivered 6x a week. I don't eat breakfast and lunch I just have some tuna or soup.

I very rarely eat out, like Newton I prefer a homecooked meal. Eating out would be FAR too expensive for me to do it on even a semi-regular basis, because if I am going to eat out, I want to eat something that is going to be something that will taste better than anything I can make at home... which more often than not equates to expensive as well. :)

I eat out on rare occasions, Toni is an outstanding cook, (I think this is the plus) she also loves to cook. She's got me eating foods I never thought I'd even try, who'da thunk I'd be requesting them on a regular basis. :)

Lets put it this way, I've never been to the grocery store.

Think my cholestorol is high?
Which brings me to a good selling point. If someone can sue McDonalds for making him fat, I should be able to hire myself out to contridict that suit. I literally eat out 2 times a day, sometimes 3, depends on if I'm at work or not.

You need to take care of yourself man, at least if you cook it you know what goes into the food, and funnily enough it tastes better :)

I simply don't have time to cook and Im the pickiest eater you will ever meet.

I know Im going to pay for it sooner or later, but with my lifestyle, being single, cop, net, there just isnt any time.

I love to cook and I'm very good at it. Though now that I'm living with Martha Stewart, I haven't been. Defiant and have always gone out at least once a month.

Not nearly as often as when I was living by myself. We both love to cook, and we both are pretty good at it; the opportunities aren't exactly bountiful either.

I like to go downtown and eat out as much as possible. :)

Don't seem to get the chance as much anymore. :(

I'd like to cook, but well I just can't be asked. It's different if I'm cooking for others, but I'm just terrible for myself.

Company pays for our lunches and has it delivered to the office. A great perk, that one, saves company and employees time, and two, takes another worry out of the equation. Whitcon used to do this, but back in those days, a lunch with Nick and crew would more times than not lead to a 3 day party at the Four Seasons. God, I miss that corner 2 bedroom suite. :)

I can picture you attempting to get "kitchen time" away from Mom...and it's not pretty.

The Weight Watchers thing pretty much killed our going out, which we used to do often. Once a week during good periods. I printed out a bunch of stuff from the Weight Watchers site yesterday (due to this thread, it made me want to go out) that gives you the points value for specific restaurant's foods. The list of restaurants available to get point values from is enormous.

Unfortunately, our favorite, the Olive Garden, isn't on the list. I have the feeling if it was and you clicked on it, it would bring up a page that said "you're kidding, right???" I have $50 worth of Olive Garden gift cards in my wallet, too. :(

After all this eating-out and cooking-in conversation, I got hungry and made myself some homemade Belgian waffles. Added in a little cinnamon and some raisins in the mix too. Side of bacon. Yum!! :)

I may go have some fat free cottage cheese and think very bad things about Dravyk for a while.

She's finally allowing me to chop the veggies and stir what's on the stove without her supervision and direction. She lets me think I'm allowed to add the spices, but I always catching her sneaking a peek, just to make sure. :)

Oh, pshaw. It's nothing of the kind. :waving:

Ever been on a diet? I mean the "fuck it all to hell, I MEAN IT this time" kind of diet. (Weight Watchers Online wasn't free, kiddo, and neither are all the approved goodies in my freezer. I have a financial investment in this frigging thing.)

I've lost 15 pounds so far. I'm a nice, successful, right-on-track dieter.

I'm also hungry. I used to go out to eat with my husband a *lot* recently. (I got over my fear of restaurants finally. *He* finally - after a quarter of a century - 'fessed up to his recovering agoraphobic wife how much he loved going out to restaurants with me. Going out became a major deal.) This whole thread has been driving me nuts. A homemade Belgian waffle - not an "out of a freezer box kind" a *real* one - momentarily drove me right over the edge.

I apologize. I hope you enjoyed your breakfast a double amount. Get those tastebuds a'dancin' for me, too. :)

If it's a proper meal I usually cook.

Today was pasta with clams, baby squid, roasted cherry plum tomatoes and loads of herbs ..

Maņana, stew n dumplings.. it's cooking now smells lovely.

I do snack outside quiet often though.
