Is any sticking up your way? We've had some flurries, but nothing close to accumulating.

We've under a wind alert, though ... it's been blowing a steady 20-25 mph for a couple of hours.

Nah nothing sticky, just some flurries. Been really windy here in the city the last couple days too. Got bumped pretty good on the noggin opening a door last night.

I like having some winter time. It's snuggly!

It's sticking here in my area of wisconsin. You can still see a bit of green with the tops of the blades but it is slowly accumulating. We've had a number of days in the past week and a half where winds gusted to 50+ MPH. It's probably gusting between 30-35 here right now.

Yeah, we've been spoiled the last few years with no snow until mid to late December. This reminds me more of what it was like when I was a kid. :)

Ah, you are so right there. I grew up in Connecticut, which has four very distinct seasons...and now live where the only seasons are "fire" and "rainy." I do miss the seasons.

A little, anyway.

Weird-ass weather here in Philly! Last night, 2am it was 66 here. 8am, 72 degrees. Rain and wind all day. Right now, 8pm, it's 47. Tomorrow night the low is expected to be first-freeze at 28.

From watering the lawn a day ago to tomorrow I have to take in the hoses and close the outside taps until Spring so they don't freeze. :(

You will also get a lot of wind I bet. It looks to me like you guys get our weather a day and a half or so after us. Last night was our first night below freezing. Yesterday afternoon was windy as all get out and during the afternoon we got some big old flakes coming down, didn't stick.

Today was cold, clear and a bit breezy. What November is supposed to be :okthumb:

I called back to St. Louis for Christmas the year I was in Bermuda, complaining because it was only 70.

The temperature in St. Louis that day had a high of -3.

I did not get much sympathy.

I remember one day here a couple years back when KimmyKim posted on a board about what a lovely day it was in Arizona bicycling around in her shorts, and me looking out the window trying to figure out with all the snow on the ground if I would be able to make it up to the street corner or not.

Ooooh yes, I still remember! :hmm:

It was in the high 70s here a couple of days ago and now 35. Wind is blowing with 20mph or so gusts. I keep waiting for the power to go out (which it never will again since I bought the generator.......).

My ex-husband and I had moved back to Jersey after living on Marco Island for the previous 6 years. Our apartment had a balcony out from the master bedroom and the sliding glass door had a gap that we became aware of when we saw the little snowpile on the bedroom floor.
When I called my parents to hopefully extract some sympathy on the plight of their cold and miserable daughter, I was greeted with the sound of my mother lightly splashing herself around on the raft as she unsympatheticly told me to move back. That's when I started sending out resumes to companies in Florida and I was in Tampa in less than a year.
Of course she also threw in "why did you let him move you back there?" but that's another story. ;)

they weren't involved in the decision to move, but once I got there, I realized how much I had missed them...and soft pretzels...and italian water ice.
