Was just checking out some threads at the zoo ...

ePassporte seems majorly screwed up in every possible way ... People using ATMs and getting zero balances, talk about major system upgrades, people holding on calls ... and all the while Chris is in Europe. Looks like a disaster area.

Overall they've been pretty good historically, and based on that they should hopefully get their act together fast, but ...

At least for now, it looks like one giant clusterfuck from representatives not answering emalsl, the phone, people who are usually on the boards mysteriously not around to answer ... you name it.

Yeh, I was aware that they had problems.

What pissed me off most, was the fact that after sitting on hold for 45 mins (long long long distance), I was THEN told that they couldn't help me cos they couldn't access anything right now.

As I said, I'm aware that problems happen, that's a given, and understandable.

But if they are going to be a company offering a service to international clients, they need to do a better job of being accessible to those of us outside the US. If I had been in the US, the option of leaving my number for them to call me back was a very viable option...calling from Australia, that was NOT an option...hence the wait on hold.

Even changing their standard msg to say 'We are currently experiencing difficulties affecting all accounts. If your problem is not resolved within the next x minutes, please try calling again then.' would have been a start. That's what my cable company does when they have a major problem. Saves everyone waiting on hold, and then having the reps say 'Well yes this problem is system wide and we can't help you'.

They're a company offering an international, borderless service (for which, incidentally, I pay)...so do so...don't do it half arsed.

Hell I'd be annoyed from Philly. From Brisbane, I'd send them a phone bill on how much they owe you! :mad:
