View Full Version : EpassPorte again - Now I'm REALLY pissed!

Ok...so the new card arrives. I login to the site to try and activate it, but there's some problem. It says it's activated, but when I go to a page with my account details, it says 'card not activated, click here to activate'. So I do that a few times, with no success. Then it starts coming up with an error saying there is a problem, and to try again later.

I understand there are some problems over there with the system right now, and fair enough, it happens...but here is why I'm pissed.

I try to call them, to find out if the pin activation problem is due to my calling them saying my card hadn't arrived, or if it's part of the overall problem they are having.

I sat on hold for 45 minutes! But that's not all!

They offer a callback service, where they will call you back if you leave a number. I try that, but oh no, that's only for callers in the US and I'm assuming Canada...it only works if you can leave a standard 10 digit telephone number. Their international clients are screwed.

So I'm stuck on hold, listening to their very annoying msg about how important my call is to them being repeated every fucking minute.

When my call is FINALLY answered, the rep says, 'Can you please call back in 15 minutes? We can't access any account details right now.'

So I sat on hold for 45 fucken minutes for NOTHING!

Why, if they offer an international service, do they not offer an option whereby international customers can leave callback details, and why, if their system is down, do they not change their auto msg to state that there are problems with the system right now, which they expect to be rectified shortly, and to please try again later.

I am soooooooooo fucken incensed at this moment, 45 minutes on hold, calling from Australia, for NOTHING!

Harry, you're right.

The system problems, I can understand. They're part and parcel of any business that is essentially electronic. Systems crash, things go awry, it happens.

The level of customer service, particularly to their international clients, is appalling.

Hmmmm ... somebody around here has been talking religious lately.

I don't suppose there is any relationship between that and the amount of Christian dating, Christian loans, and Christian book and movie spam I've been receiving lately.

Just a short update. I've had an email from Chris Mallick requesting a phone number he can call me on to discuss. I've sent him that, and will now wait on his call.

This time HE can pay the long distance charges. :p

Actually, I got an email from Chris this morning saying that as Webmaster Access was on in LA right now, he was flat out, and would try and call Monday.
