And yes there has to be a BOSS! Otherwise who makes the final decision?
I started a company after my wife had our third child and my wife volunteered to handle most of the computer and paperwork. She had all the experience to handle running most of the business except one.... following directions.
Our working together lasted three days and we've never tried it since. If she wanted to do everything her way then I guess she should have started her own company.
Every business team I've been on has a Coach and Players, not JUST coaches and not JUST players. I've always heard you either Lead, Follow or Get the Hell Out of the Way! :okthumb:
So now, Who's the BOSS? :wnw:

I've worked with my husband at two different companies, plus we've owned our own. At the first two, he was the boss. At our own, there was a division of labor based upon skills. When we did volunteer work for the PTA, I was the boss. Both of us can take both directions and suggestions. I'd gladly work with him again and hopefully will someday.

I'd say it depends on what the project is and who is better at it.

I have a couple of hands, but the right one is the boss.

My husband and I work together for our content business, and neither of us is the boss.. We both do different aspects of it together that perfectly mesh, so it works out well..

In our case, with http://www.weekend-jewelry.com, it is Jenny's thing. I handle the programming, gladly offer suggestions, do whatever I am asked.. But she runs the show.

Complimentary role should be observed there instead of having some gender issues regarding job jurisdiction.
