Backordering Domains

I backordered a domain, and was told that I unfortunately didn't get it, but it went to someone at enom. I thought ok I missed it, and the name servers were duly changed, with an email received that these were now changed. Next thing I know, another email was received from domains by proxy, telling me that the name servers have reverted back to the registrar in the space of 12 hours. Now they have transferred it to me :) I am delightfully happy with these strange turn of events :okthumb:

Have you guys had any strange or weird things happen with registrars or backordering?

I tried snapnames when it first arrived on the scene.

I came this close to nabbing pussy.com. It was during the whole "gone public, gone under" phase at igallery and seemingly nobody was watching the domain expiration status. It actually expired, and was into its grace period before someone over there noticed, and re-newed it.
