Should the people at the "West Wing" and whatever Gina Davis' show is called be worried, too?
What's the "for the purposes of parody" law called? I know there is one.

Okay, I've read the article.
They are upset becasue the Onion is using the Presidential Seal.
Are they abusing the seal? Aren't they feeding it enough fish? Are they making it balance balls on its nose? Need more info ...

This is the first the Seal has heard of the outside world.
Most likely, they're afraid the Seal is going to bolt....

Well, the president's seal does not necessarily represent Bush's personality; it represents and office. They cango on with their business but I think it's just fair not to include the seal.

Dale...that's a fine point that a lot forget. The "Presidential Seal" in no way represents Bush's personality (or lack thereof, as some would say.) It is indeed the symbol of "the office." The "President" is not a person. The President is the Office. At the moment, the Office is occupied by W.
However, we have laws in this country (or used to, anyway) that protect newspapers, columnists, satirists, etc.
From a political standpoint, with all that's going on, or not going on that should be, in this country, I at least would have thought saner heads would have said "maybe we don't want to sweat the small stuff right now and look like bigger assholes than we already do. Perhaps we might also want to consider not drawing attention to a satirist that eveyone in the country hasn't hear of...but immediately will if we bitch about the use of the Seal."
