That one got named yesterday. It's the first time in history that there have been so many storms that the Greek alphabet had to be used.
It's not going to hit the US at all.

We are all going to die.

Glad that I bought lots of new clothes this week so that I can look fucking good when the world ends.

Off to go grocery shopping so that I have lots of food for the afterlife.

I really hate to say this. But scientists have been saying this for a while and it's come true. Get used to many more hurricanes each season and stronger ones where category 3-5 is the norm. http://oprano.com/msgboard/images/smilies/sad.gif

I predict in the next few years coastal properties in the South are going to do a 180 and become undesireable properties. http://oprano.com/msgboard/images/smilies/sad.gif

Btw, don't kill the messenger. I get no glee out of this; trust me on that.

Unfortunately you're right. Hurricane seasons go through cycles and we're in the frequent storm cycle now. The amount of major storms during the 70's & 80's were a lot less. The strength of the storms is increasing due to global warming.

Cool, I spent 2 years as a teenager working for Medfords (largest farming concern in Yorkshire at the time) raising and slaughtering pigs, if it doesn't stick in the throat then it sure won't stick in the arse. ;)

It's just a big mass of thunderstorms," Goodman said.

Alpha was expected to weaken over land, it could dissipate in the mountains of the Dominican Republic, the Hurricane Center said. At 8 a.m. EDT, its rough center was about 25 miles west-northwest of the city of Barahona and moving northwestward at 14 mph.

Hope it will just pass through...

Hurricanes aren't the only thing going on. Has anyone really been paying attention to how the earth is acting lately? It's crazy now, it's going to be insane in the future.
