TGP project and 2257

Ok.. I know that trev for example doesn't have to give two shits about 2257 but how about the folks that reside stateside? How do you handle the 2257 issues in relation to the TGP project? Are all the sponsors set up to give you the info should you need it? :scratchin

I'll take a shot.
With Remote Thumbs, you have the option of choosing "all softcore, 2257 Compliant Thumbs" or "both hardcore and softcore thumbs."

Now, I'm *assuming* - and this *is* just an assumption - that since the thumb options are labeled "2257 compliant" the sponsors have the documentation waiting in the wings, so-to-speak.

So, again my assumption, TE, is that the answer to your question is yes. :)

For those that want to push it a step further, a custom template can be made for remote thumbs that only has text - no thumbs and no worries for the tgp owner. ;)

Reighlynn...familiar with the term "what a can of worms you've opened"? Well. See, I re-entered the adult 'net in July of this year, after a many year abscence. One of my first questions was "what is this 2257 thing?" Omigosh. It goes on and on...and on. (It has to do with legal record keeping of content and attempts by right-wingers to tack "adult porn" onto child safety laws and totally blur the lines. IMHO, that is.)

Your best bet - and this is NOT legal advice - is to select "softcore thumbs" from your Remote Thumbs template and put a line on your index page that says "all images on this site are 2257 compliant." Now, when making a free site, that line will be linked to the actual 2257 information.

The only images that will actually be on your domain are the thumbs.

The other thing you can do is avoid the entire situation entirely and have an all text link tgp. The instructions for that are in the original tgp thread. You'll have to hit up sarettah for assistance with that one, because I - unfortunately - didn't understand it at all.

Okay I think I got it figured out now and I am going to have to make an adjustmen or two to my TGP. I think I have hardcore in there too.

If you feel it limits you then just add more sponsors to bulk up the selection. ;)
