Do you do business with friends?

Do you know the difference?

Do you do business with friends?

Do you know the difference?

I know the difference.

For the most part, friends are in your personal life.

Sometimes people with whom you do business become friends...by doing the things that people in your personal life do. Sometimes you have to decide which is more important to you - the "friend" or the "business associate." That's a hard decision.

For the most part, it is unadvisable to "go into business" with a friend. Even worse with a family member.

I've learned the hard way! There is a fine line NOT to be crossed! I try and keep it simple and appreciate the difference between friends and acquaintances. ;)

My 2 cents........

It works with Business associates who become good personal friends.

But bringing friends into business , does not.

Doing business with a family member?

Well me and my brother Technick started off in this business together and 8/9 yrs later our relationship has not suffered.

In fact being brothers , we believe, it is what gives us an advantage.

And everyone knows Ant and I still do a great deal of business together after 6 years.

I actually prefer dealing in business with people I have got to know.

Look at Oprano...most of us have known each other for years. :)

I will never again go into business with friends. Most expensive two lessons of my life ...

The only time I've ever worked with family was when my daughter worked for me. I once overheard her telling a co-worker that I was a pretty good dad, but as a boss I was a total asshole.

Made me proud, it did.

You're not a friend of mine until you offer to watch my dogs. If you're not a friend you're a customer.
