Is this weekend.

So Happy Thanksgiving. :)

I'll be on and offline for the next two days and we have decided to have the main meal today.

Next week looks a living hell as the BC teachers are on strike so all my kids are at home.

Poor bastards. They have had a 10% rise in total since 96.

They asked for 5% for the next 3 years to catch up.The gov't offered 0%.

Then the gov't had it declared an illegal strike (strikers risk Jail for contempt) and they passed legislation to renew their contracts at the same rate. Pretty harsh.

Why Canada can't have Thankgiving the same day as the US...fuck knows

We're not doing anything for Thanksgiving. No turkey dinner.
It's not the huge holiday up here that it is in the states.

Everyone would gather
On the twenty-fourth of May
Sitting in the sand
To watch the fireworks display.
Dancing fires on the beach,
Singing songs together...
Though it's just a memory,
Some memories last forever.

Oops wrong Canadian Holiday
